Syphon Fish Tank Cleaner for Aquarium - Filtered Hand Vacuum Syphon Pump - 3-in-1 Water Changer and Gravel Washer for Fish Tank - Fish Tank Cleaning Kit

Admittedly I had my doubts if this would even work but I needn't have as this Luigi's Siphon pump exceeded any & all expectations (despite my such being minimal & doubtful at best). Fed up of the arduous & lobourios chore of emptying the fish tank for a clean & a water change, I was willing to give anything a go to see if such could aid in the task & or make the process a bit more convenient & less taxing & time consuming. Previously to this pump I was using a basic kitchen jug & a bucket to empty the water & clean out the fish tank with, yet such an ordeal (am pleased) will now be no more. This Luigi's Siphon pump is extremely effective & simple to use, it emptied the water out at fairly quick rate. My only slight criticism is with the gravel cleaning attachment & or end, as while yes it does function & filter out some of the litter bits from the water & gravel base of the tank, it doesn't however get the gravel as clean as I (& am also sure my fish; Mario, Luigi & Yoshi) would like & are use too, as plenty of debris is either too big for the gravel cleaning adaptor's holes & or plain just doesn't suck up & remains in the water & gravel base. Thus my preference is not to use the gravel cleaning adaptor & instead I find this siphon pump to be more effective when just using the siphoning tube as is to empty the dirty water & bits out, so specificly as a gravel, debris & or litter cleaning device, there's a lot still be desired. Back on a positive note the squeezey air hand pump part doesn't take much effort & maybe only #5 or #6 squeezes at most to get the water to continuously suck up & flow out. This pump comes in suitable & not over the top packaging & though it's pretty self explanatory in how to use & get going withit, it does also come with paper instructions. BTW: It should come as no surprise & go without saying that in order for this siphon pump to work effectively, the tank & or water you're siphoning out needs to be elevated & in a higher place than the bucket & or location that your empyting out into. Ultimately I am more than satisfied with this Luigi's Siphon pump & indeed I would recommend such 👍

Easy to use and helps suck debris from gravel

I bought this to change the water in my turtle tank because I wasn't going to rely on the old mouth on hose method (really didn't fancy a mouthful of poopy turtle water which I'm sure is 100% understandable lol...) and for the most part, it works great but, it doesn't get out all of the water from the tank which is unfortunate, it leaves about 3 inches of water so I then have to lug the tank into another room to empty it fully. However, the suction power is fantastic, it's easy to use, as cheap as chips and does what it says on the tin! Overall, it is worth buying and if for whatever reason mine breaks, I will buy again,

Okay - it's a plastic syphon, it isn't very expensive and it does the job, but that's about it I'm afraid. It does what it says - it syphons water out of your aquarium, but then again so does a bit of rubber tubing! Two things that would have massively improved it for me: - a flow control tap!!! How on earth could this be missed out? You fill the bucket and then have to empty the syphon, empty the bucket and start the process again - my old syphon had a nifty little control tap that you could click across and the flow would be held until you wanted to start it again. - change the syphon head. It can't really figure out whether it's a syphon or a gravel cleaner or both; it tries as gravel cleaning and the tiny particules floating on top of the gravel are fine, but when you try to dig deeper the gravel gets stuck in the holes which blocks them and reduces the syphon flow. You can unscrew the lid, but woe betide a small fish or snail that you don't spot in time!! I've got it now, so I guess I'll use it (if I don't get myself too tangled in the twisty tubing!), but I am looking around for a decent gravel vacuum - then I can use a smaller more precise head to position it in the correct areas of the tank, which heads and have some decent suction to go beneath the gravel surface and then they all come with attachable hoses that can double as syphons.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Easy to regulate the suction by crimping the hose with fingers as it is quite strong once it gets going but it cleans gravel really well. It does remove water quite fast though if you dont crimp it but it performs really well.

Easy to use, does what it needs to do

It's cheap and that shows. Mine had a crack in the bendy bit of the tubing so it wasn't getting any suction power. Sealed it with tape and it worked but and after that worked a treat
