    Works Well, Great Value

Leaving aside (ahem) not reading the instructions (well, I'm a bloke and we don't read instructions - right ?) and having to contact the seller to complain the battery wouldn't fit ("try unscrewing the other end sir...") this cable tester works very well. As part of a complete house renovation and extension every room is Cat6 cabled and has TV / satellite sockets, but, all the cable runs had been brought together in the loft and not connected.Armed with this little tool and an 'F-plug to male coax' cable it was a breeze to connect to each TV socket in turn and then use the detachable buzzer to test each loose cable in the loft to identify the live circuit.Saved me a lot of time - well worth the money.

Just used this and it found a short in my coax cable within minutes. Spent a while trying to find out why my tv had no signal before buying but now have 100% signal due to it finding the short on the inside if my satellite wall faceplate.

    Not good for general coaxial testing

Fairly niche item that isn’t good for general coaxial cable checking. The connectors were no good so I ended up having to strip the wires and test them bare. If you expect to just plug and test forget it. Choose something else. V expensive for what you get.
