Buy The Mood Cards Box 2: Understand Deep Emotions (MOOD series) New by Harrn, Andrea, Siddons, Stacey (ISBN: 9781859064030) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Very useful if you don't know how you feel. - Very useful if you have difficulty knowing how to explain the way you feel. I struggle with anxiety, depression, BPD, PTSD, and dissociative episodes and these are excellent to help me explain how I feel or the reasons for my actions to my partner, and to understand myself better, especially if I shut down due to anxiety and racing thoughts. Only thing I will say is that these would be most useful when used with the original box, as on its own you notice key emotions and descriptors missing - which of course are in the original box. First used Mood Cards with my counsellor and they helped so much that I bought my own and this expansion box - so any professionals considering these... They do really help especially if you are working with someone who gets stuck for what to say or how to describe how they feel (a lot of the time I wouldn't know how I felt until I went through the cards, and they helped me make sense of how I was feeling). Review: Really helpful for coaching clients - I work as a leadership coach and these cards open up opportunites for clients to talk about their feelings. I bought them for one particular client and have now used them with many. I though leaders might think them a little childish but they really like the pictures and several have gone on to buy their own packs. With mental health awareness so important, these give clients permission to take time to check in with their moods and then talk about what they notice.

The first set was excellent, and this second set looks to be even ...
It was with some excitement that I awaited the arrival of this new set of mood cards. The first set was excellent, and this second set looks to be even better! I really like the packaging and the way the drawer slides out like a little treasure chest. These cards are a natural progression to the first pack, in that they explore an additional host of emotions . This gives either the therapist or the client a wider range of things to explore. As with the first pack, I find the both questions and the affirmations on the back of the cards very helpful. This pack will be an invaluable addition to facilitate further internal exploration and potential healing, and a very useful tool to have in therapy sessions.

Really very good
If you have trouble identifying your emotions this is great to use for that and for journalling too. These are more in depth emotions that the main box set (which I still think is the best one) and is a good accompaniment. Some people find it very easy to identify their emotions and good luck to them but you would be surprised what you are feeling without even really knowing i t. This can help you identify it.

A clever idea that works brilliantly
We have found that these cards work very well for my son who is both profoundly deaf and autistic to express his emotions. The drawings are simple and they easily identify emotions. The message on the back of each card helps explain how to come to terms with the emotion. The counsellor working with my son has found that these cards have helped him to identify issues that he has not been able to express before.

Intuitive narrative cards to aid a conversation, by helping to articulate painful feelings.
The cards are a great tool, to use individually, or in a group. They have a face with a mood expressed on one side, and some questions on the other side. There are 2 packs of cards of available. one is around mood swings and depression. The other goes deeper a, and explores painful repressed emotions causing psychological distress.

Disappointed, and instruction booklet missing
I am a therapist and I thought these cards could be useful in therapy. I am not yet won over by the cards, however, and find some of the statements on them a bit forced. I have not used them as I am not sure how to: no instruction book came with the cards, contrary to what it states on the info.

Great cards for working with teenagers
I bought these for my sister who works in a mental health setting with teenagers. They seem to be really useful for helping motivate discussion around feelings and mood. The images are great and the cards are a good size too.

Very hokey. Scatty is apparently some sort of emotion that wasnt explained!

I absolutely enjoy these cards. I use them along with her other deck. Majority of my clients are in DBT. Those I work with are always asking to use them during their check in process. These cards in addition to her previous deck have replaced all of my other emotion identification cards/tools. The cards are packed full of functionality but also simple. I love the details that pair with the emotion identified, even the backgrounds of each card flow with the emotional identification process. Beautiful. My son and I use these at home. The other therapists at my practice continued to borrow them so I purchased additional decks for the group room and offices. Definitely Aids expanding the Emotional Palette.

My preference Like: • Just about everything about the cards I just adore. From the face on the front- to the size of the cards. The cards work both sides of the brain. Dislike: • They would benefit from being laminated for them to last for a lot longer.

These cards are bright and bold, are vibrant and sharp, they are dark and moody without being scary, they ask the perfect why questions to ask yourself when you need to think about why you are feeling a specific way.

I recently purchased these cards and have used them with teens and adults. I love that there are affirmations on the back of each card promoting self love. They also have ice breaker related questions too! So glad I purchased them!
