A better robe exists only in dreams
I am so flipping jazzed about this robe from Arus. Shopping clothes online can be rather frustrating at times, especially where sizes are concerned because they aren't standardized, different countries, different sizes. That's the price to pay I suppose. My robe had seen the better of too many years and too uses and I gotta have one after a shower. So I looked through manydifferent brands, and Arus just stood out to me. Not only are they soft, absorbent cotton, they have style. The hooded is perfect, the length is down to my feet without touching the floor with the sleeves ending at the base of my palm and the color is classy and subtle. All these together give a fit that feels like its custom made. The quality of the robe matches the fit, seams are well done and because of that, are nearly invisible. It has some weight to it, just as a quality towel has - letting you know it can hold some water for sure. I haven't washed it yet, but if there is an issue I'll update, though I really don't expect there to be. No bleach, no hot air on a frequency that depends on how often you use it. A shower or bath is meant to clean you body after all, but it's so comfortable I might wear it longer than I did my previous robe. I have absolutely no problem recommending this particular robe, or the entire Arus brand after wearing this. My size: 5'8" Weight: 220 Size ordered: XL Color: gray

Delightfully heavy
Pleased to find this is a weight and fit I can feel comfortable in. Standing 6'3" ~170lbs, the XL sleeves come to my wrists, large enough to cross my arms like a monk, slipping my hands and forearms in the opposing sleeves. Closes with enough material to lock in warmth and a longer length landing midway between my knees and ankles. Pleasantly heavy and thick cotton, similar to a quality bath towel. Opting to use a hanger to ease the stress of a single point of suspension and increase longevity. Quite pleased! Thank you every one who brought this robe into my existance.

Bury me in this.
I've been searching local stores for years looking for a full length thick bath robe. Random Amazon searching and review reading lead me to this robe made by Arus Bathrobes. I balked at the price but after a month of letting it sit in my cart, contemplating whether the price warranted the purchase, I decided to give it a try since Amazon has such a consumer friendly return policy. If - upon receiving this robe - it wasn't absolutely perfect I'd return it and get my money back. There's no way I'm parting with this robe. I'm 5'10" 215 with long arms. I prefer my shirts a little on the baggy side. Whenever I buy a clothing item with sleeves I get XL-Tall so I ordered this robe in XL (black). Having said that I'm not sure how else to describe the fit of this robe than to say it like this: If I were to hire a tailor who worked with me step-by-step through the material selection, measurements, and multiple fittings to produce a robe that was perfectly made for me and my wants, this bathrobe would be the end result. Whether it's a coat, sweatshirt or bathrobe - I want a large hood, something that will continue covering me when I turn my head. The hood on this robe is outstanding! It's large without being overly large. The brim of the hood comes down over my face to the very tip of my nose (if I pull it down). The cut of the hood material is nice and rounded so that you don't have a cone head. When I pull the hood all the way forward the thickness of the material allows me to form the hood ever so slightly - if I want to see directly forward without looking down I pinch the brim and the hood stays up and out of the way (unlike those thin one-size-fits-all robes). Perfect. As I mentioned I have long arms. I also prefer long sleeves (for example I want my wrists covered regardless how I bend my arms). The sleeve length is perfect for me: With my arms at my sides the sleeve cuff ends sit between the first set of knuckles and the second set of knuckles (where my wedding ring is). With my arms bent typing this the cuff ends sit halfway between my wrists and knuckles. I do not roll the sleeves. Although the sleeves are big they're not overly big. My wife can slide her arms through my sleeve cuffs while I'm wearing this but they don't hang down ridiculously (like those one-size-fits-all robes). The two pockets are great. I can fit my large hands in perfectly without stressing the seems and they're deep enough to hold my pda, cigarettes, wallet, etc without falling out. Usually larger pockets tend to allow the pocket openings to gape open. I'm not sure if it's the material, the stitching, a combination or just blind luck but these pockets visually stay closed (unlike those one-size-fits-all robes). Nice. I don't use the belt as I wear pajama pants underneath but I will admit the belt looks good and matches the robe perfectly (again - unlike those cheap thin one-size-fits-all robes). With my 5'10" height the bottom of this XL robe just barely grazed against the tops of the middle of my feet. After first wash (recommended settings: cool water, tumble dry low) the robe bottom hovers about half an inch above the middle of my feet. No other dimensions appear to have been affected. The material is great and the sewing is outstanding. Production is top notch - I can find no imperfections. This typing marks the tenth night I've owned this robe and so far I've been doing everything I can to live in it. I love it that much. If I could find a way to wear this in public or to work I would. This robe is my first encounter with Turkish cotton and I will be replacing all of my bath towels with this material. It's everything I've ever dreamed of in a robe (can you tell I've been wanting a good bath robe for a long time?) and is worth every cent. It's five times the cost of an inexpensive one-size-fits-all robe but easily ten times the quality. This robe epitomizes 'you get what you pay for'. *Like another reviewer I'm very pleased with the Emperor Palpatine likeness I get from this robe in black. Looks like I've got next Halloween covered. :D

Great Robe. Very heavy when wet so be careful when washing
I've owned this robe for about 2 months so far and overall, I think this is a pretty good robe. It is very comfortable and absorbent heavy robe but it is not without it's issues, mostly with washing. I've washed this robe twice since I've owned it, and the main thing to understand is that this thing easily weighs over 50+ lbs when it's soaking wet. It is VERY absorbent. So much so that it can and WILL knock a topload washer out of alignment during the spin cycle and maybe cause other damage if you make the mistake of washing it by itself. Ask me how I know... So make sure to wash it with something else to offset this thing's weight. So after another few weeks and a few lessons learned, I washed it again but this time by hand... (as I have to do with the rest of my laundry right now too... on account of the now broken washer...). If you're washing this thing by hand, then I hope you have sturdy wringer because while laden with water this thing will be very VERY heavy. Seriously, you can hurt yourself with this thing so be careful. It's too bulky to hand-wring and it'll be too heavy to put on a shower rod straight out of the water. And it will easily be heavy enough to hurt your back if you're leaning over your tub. So if you have to depend on handwashing this robe, you'll need to come up with a good solution for getting all that excess water out without throwing out your back and without dumping half the contents of your tub out onto the bathroom floor. I opted to walk it up the shower wall with my hands and held it there until it was light enough to hang on the shower rod. I'm sure there are better solutions but it was the best I could do with what I had. TLDR, this is a great robe but a pain (literally) to wash. A frontloader washer is probably ideal. If you don't have one of those. Probably just bite the bullet go to the laundromat... or maybe just don't wash it at all. If someone complains about the smell, then just tell them it's "well seasoned".

Best robe you can buy
This is my second one of these, I'm 205 lbs, and 5' 11 and the XL is perfect. My first one of these I wore so much over the past 15 years, the cloth is worn almost bare in some spots, and now has a hole where I hang it up. It's so comfortable and warm I had to get another one. I'm so glad the quality appears to still be the same, only improvement it could use is reinforcing at the top where it's hung up as it's so heavy. Thank you for continuing to make a absolutely fantastic product!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Long-Lasting & Super Comfortable Robe
I bought this robe a couple years ago and it’s still one of my husband’s favorite things—he wears it almost daily and absolutely loves it. The material is thick and absorbent, almost like a high-quality towel, and the pockets are a great added convenience for carrying small things. He’s 5’9” and the length hangs just shy of his feet, giving it a cozy, full-coverage feel. I’ve washed it many times in the machine and it has held up amazingly well. Definitely worth the purchase and I would buy it again!

I love it, in the context of its price
It was hard to find a bathrobe with all the features I wanted, but this fit the bill (no, my name's not Bill). It's tough when so many websites tell you so little. I bought this robe & pretty much love it, but not before buying another robe here very inaccurately described by eLuxury, which had to be returned. This robe is as described, with LOTS of satisfied customers. Neutrals: - For me, the size out of the box was kinda dramatically larger than I expected, but after washing in cold water & drying at mostly low temp it shrunk a LOT & into a size that better fits me. I'm 5'11", 195 lbs, & I bought the XL (tag says '3'); I'm considered of average build, but muscular for my height. Out of the box the hood was pretty room (could be pulled down over my eyes if I wanted it to,but fine if adjusted), the sleeves almost covered my hands so had to be folded back (that was fine & nice), & the bottom was at my ankles or even a bit lower. After 1 wash in cold water, & dried mostly at a low temp, the hood now fits about just right. Dramatic though is that now the sleeves fall exactly at the end of my wrists when unfolded (before had to be folded back 3-4 inches), & the length shrunk up at least 3, probably 4, inches (which I prefer since I didn't want it too low). Consider buying your robe leaning toward a little extra large, knowing it will shrink a LOT, & will still shrink over the months/years. Pros: - Is high quality Turkish cotton, soft to the skin right out of the box, but softer after washed. Great to put on when wet out of the shower, pool, or jacuzzi. Microfiber felt horrible to me when I was wet. - Very absorbent. - I'd describe as a thick medium weight cotton, but not too thick. It should keep you plenty warm, but not smothering as some other heavy robes. - Has a roomy fit. It's better to have room than not enough. You want a robe that's perfect or leans toward roomier. - Navy blue color is navy blue. (some robes come a seriously different color than described). - You can put the hood up & have this sexy fashionable grim reaper look. Cons: (potential) - You may be concerned about how much it shrinks. Definitely take that into consideration when you size. - Some may think this is too heavy. It does have weight to it, but I suspect a lot of that is due to the added roomy hood & the added length. I've worn lighter & much heavier robes. - I was hoping for a bit more of a luxury feel on my skin than this, but I'm perfectly happy with this, especially considering the price. I think the (professional) pictures provided make it look a bit more shiny & (lush) than it is. But this is cotton. If you want more "luxury" on your skin, then you probably want to spend at least another $100-$300, or sacrifice water absorbancy for soft microfiber. I'm talking feel, not look. If you're looking at this robe you want cotton, less luxurious but better with water. - My robe was shipped by UPS Surepost. This added an extra 2 days to shipping time for me (total of 11 days), & I had to make plans to travel a distance to pick it up at the neighborhood (unsecure) mailboxes. If you don't know, it means UPS shipped it from the original destination to my town, then they delivered it to my local post office, whom later delivered it to my mailbox (not my door). Lots of people are unhappy with this (even here on Amazon; I'm not a Prime member, but the packaging tape on the box was labeled that). What I didn't care for was the extra time it sat around between couriers, how I had to find & have different tracking numbers for each courier, & go to each website to find out where the package is. (plus my local post office is horribly inefficient). On the other hand, who needs an emergency bathrobe. Yet still I was (gulp) excited to receive it. Think about the kind of fit you want. It took a while before I realized I wanted to err on the side of having a roomy fit in it, as opposed to putting on a more tightly fitting robe when wet or moving around the house or waving to the neighbors as I water the dog & they drive by.
