Tetra Pond Holiday Food, 2 Weeks Pond Holiday Fish Food Block, 98 g

This has kept our fishes well for all of our holidays

So this comes in a little tin like cat food and is like a hard jelly. I used this for a cold water fish tank, not a pond as its intended. I only have 1 goldfish so cut a quarter of this off and dropped it into the tank. It sank and the fish went straight to eat it. We got someone to check on the tank a week later and it was mostly gone so another quarter was placed in. A week later and I'm back, there are reminents of the food at the bottom of the tank and the fish is alive but the water has turned orange so a full cleanup is now needed. I'm happy with the product in that it kept my fish alive and it are the food but not sure why the water is this colour. The snails have also survived so that's a bonus. I would use this again as I don't trust any of the other feeding blocks intended for cold water tanks.

We have an outdoor fish pond which is a pain when we go on holiday. Just need to place one fish food disc into the bed before we go away on holiday & that’s enough fish feed for them to last 2 weeks. Come back from holiday & all our fish survived & looking healthy! Before I discovered this,we had to ask neighbours to pop around daily to feed our fish which is an inconvenience so very pleased that I discovered this!

I've used these and similar ones in my Koi pond a few times and they always seem to still be there when I return from a week away. They are slightly smaller than when I put them in. So, I've no idea if the fish don't like them or they don't work. However, a week / 10 days away without will not kill a fish.

Purchased this holiday fish feeding block for small 1600 liter outdoor pond with just two fish to cover 9 days absence. Most 'reputable' websites suggested fish would survive perfectly well without food for a couple of weeks so it probably wasn't necessary. However, it was cheap claimed by ot to cloud the water and so put my mind at rest while away. I also set a timer to keep filter and fountain working for 12hrs during day throughout. Anyway returned with water still clear, filter and fountain functioning well and two fish happily swimming around as normal. I removed the block see photo attached and it seems fish took little interest in it, it's now in the dustbin. When I fed fish they immediately consumed their usual food. All said still think it was worthwhile buying the holiday fish food for the peace of mind it brought me but picture suggests that in future I could holiday away without it next time.

Ob es den Fischen geschmeckt hat und ob es für die Fische sehr gesund war, kann ich nicht sagen. Wir haben 4 Shubunkin und ca. 20 Gründlinge im Gartenteich. Alle haben die 14 Tage ohne Füttern überlebt und machen nach unserer Rückkehr einen soliden Eindruck. Das Futter ist in einer Aluminiumschale die einfach zu öffnen ist. Der Inhalt, der fast wie Hundefutter aussieht wird einfach in den Teich gegeben, fertig. Würde ich für den nächsten Urlaub auch wieder kaufen.
