Finally got round to cooking some Sichan recipes that use this paste. The smell from the cooking is wonderful and both dishes tasted lovely. As warned it is very salty so no need to add any salt - but eaten with plain rice they are great - a very good addition to my kitchen.

Very tasty
Ideal to add to a wide range of Oriental meals. Goes well in Egg Fried rice or noodles to add a depth of flavour.

Product ingredients do not match description
The product's ingredients are different to those advertised and also included palm oil and an E number which is really disappointing as I specifically ordered it as it was advertised as having no ultra processed ingredients. The packaging looks different too, but that's not really a big deal.
