Great - stylish and reliable
Love this, it is super stylish and works well in pretty much any room. The hooks are still working well after over a year of use, eg they stay in the up position even if they had been down for awhile. Use it to hang towels in bathrooms and also coats, etc. On the back of bedrooms doors. Easy to install, too, it even comes with a paper ruler.

Good Looking & Fit for Purpose .... for now.....
I ordered two of these - one for each main bedroom with gloss white doors. My existing coat hooks served a purpose, but on the downside when the door was opened 90 degrees to the threshold, the backs of the hooks would bang into a partitioned wall, which over time left rather unsightly marks. Delivery was swift, and the items well packaged with no dents or scratches present. One thing I did notice upon opening was the excellent quality of the natural wood. It was heavy, thick and just felt like "proper" wood. Although the only thing I would say as a note of warning is that this is not slim line - it's roughly 1.5 inches thick. So it will stand quite proudly against any door or wall its affixed too. In addition to the rack, there's a couple screws, raw plugs, brief multi-language instructions and a paper template for you to use when drilling the holes (Personally I preferred using a tape measure/spirit level and pencil). The instructions focus more on fixing the rack to a wall rather than a door, but the principle is the same (bar the raw plugs for doors) In total, it took me 10 minutes to fix both racks to my doors, and they looked really nice & professional (obviously if you're fixing to a wall just to precautions against what you're drilling into - i.e. gas pipes, water pipes, electrics etc.) 7 out of the 10 hooks (5 for each rack) are in use with relatively light clothing appropriate for a bedroom. I do wonder, however, how long the designer hooks will stay housed before they start "flopping down" at their own prompting! I think they remain housed purely based on a tightness between it and the surrounding wood. But given time and lots of use, this friction will gradually wear away and the hooks will no longer stay in place. As a consequence I will only give this 4 out of 5: It's really nice right now, but whether it will show the symptoms highlighted above 12 months from now only time will tell.

Like it!
Coat hooks, when there are no coats on them, are an absolute menace. They stick out, maybe causing damage as doors bang into them, or worse, if they are in a thoroughfare. And, even when sited where there is no danger to anyone, empty coat hooks simply don't look that great. This Flip Coat Hook is a brilliant -- albeit expensive -- solution to the problem. We've got one hanging in our guest bedroom, and another one ready to go up behind the front door once our stair well is finished. When not in use, all of the hooks can be flipped up, avoiding any unsightliness and all the other problems. When needed, as many of the coat hooks as you want can come down. In terms of looks, this is a well made, beautifully designed piece with a curved front and angled sides, and stylishly curved hooks. Given that this is a true piece of 'form follows function' design, it doesn't look remotely utilitarian or pragmatist. I was a bit dubious ordering this, but, having now got it installed, I can comfortably recommend it to anyone. Do note that it's available in dark wood and in light wood, to match your decor.

Looks good - very sturdy and practical for a smaller space
A quality item, well made and easy to mount. We have used it in a cloakroom and intended to use it as an extra amount of coat hanging to use when visitors come but it occasionally takes a towel or bag. It looks good on the wall while the hooks stay out of the way until required.

Value for money but not quality not great
The item is described as hardwood when it is some sort of plastic - I didn't think it would be hardwood but that isn't the point. The hooks, some have a loose and some have a stiff feel, and they are not sprung loaded (not that they were advertised as such). The Espresso finish is not great, very slight marks around the hooks where the top coat has pealed away. The quality is good for the price and although it is sturdy and solid I wouldn't describe it as high quality. However, and if it had been correctly described I would have given it five stars, because it looks okay, was easy to install and is very functional and a fair price. Slightly disappointed but not enough to take them up on the offer of SATISFACTION GUARANTEED OR YOUR MONEY BACK.
