These are good for oil pastels , they are very sturdy not flexible. I wouldn't recommend for mixing paint since it's not flexible. Just depends what you're using it for.

I have had this set long enough to use a few of the knives. I guess it's a good value for the price. I will limit my use of them for spreading and mixing paint on the palette. They are stainless steel and don't discolor, They feel a little small in my hands (which are not very big), and they don't have much flex which you will need to make curves or apply pressure when seriously painting with them. I bought this set mainly because I had been so disappointed in my choices in more expensive palette knives. Recently I had a brand new one discolor badly after a couple of uses, and I broke the tip off of another that had been around for awhile. So my search is still in progress.

Semi-flex stainless steel, durable handles, and the price is certainly right. I'm impressed!

Good quality for the price

Good quality set of various sizes. Easy to use.

Worked well a handful of times (used on cakes and for mixing small amounts of dye into frosting), but in one day two broke where the metal meets the plastic handles. One from simply scraping the inside of a small food dye container and the one from mixing dye into one cup of frosting. Disappointing.
