I will wear these barefoot and in the summer my feet swell a bit and they are comfortable and can be worn most of the day, I have worn Ahnu Karmas traveling but not for heavy duty walking with luggage though I think I could do that with them. The zen's have a toe grip which I was curious to see if it worked for me. It didn't. I have arthritis in my big toe and my feet are stiff so that gripping the thingy ( technical term ) was a real pain and I didn't feel stable in them at all.I really liked the shoes and had gotten two pair ( backup! ) on a really great sale price so I just cut out the toe grip with toenail scissors - they have a curve and I could get down into the leather without leaving a stub on the sole of the shoe or on the top of the shoe on the inside. Voila! Perfect fit, I expect to be in them all summer long. Absolutely great! I'm glad I took the chance and just did it since the price was so low I figured I had nothing to loose and could send the other pair back if it didn't work. If they feel fine except for that toe grippy, go for it. They stay on just fine. I usually use Montrail flip flops and they don't bother me, but something about the toe cover and how the grip sat inside it really bothered my feet. No more problem:) I'm sure from the reviews I read that this part works well for a lot of people, but if you're not one of them this still might be a good summer shoe for you. I posted four stars only because I haven't worn these out of the house yet, it's still winter. If needed I'll update after summer wear.PS: I need an insert for "shoes" the carbon super feet insert. These don't seem to have arch support, but do. They also stablize the foot so in summer or at a show where I have to stand all day in warm weather, I wear the Karmas, and could wear these. It's nice to have something that works and aligns my hips and legs for my arthritic, flat feet. I started with Ahnu Mary Janes that don't exist any more and can't wear that style because of my big toes swelling. These and the Karmas ( all styles ) come up high enough on the top of the foot that they don't hurt on the big toe joint. The leather ones stretch fairly easily too and are very comfortable. The Half Moons have this same sole and size the same way but you can wear socks with them and run with luggage in an airport! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Soo cute on the right feet *by N***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2013* I bought these cute shoes for my hard to fit feet. (wide) They fit ok but my foot poured out the sides a little and they looked really frumpy on my 51 year old feet.They were really comfortable but just too hokey looking on me. The style is cute but I didn't like that the sides of the soles were so light colored. I didn't notice it in the picture but when they were on my feet they glowed and it made them look really cheap. This brought them from 5 stars to 4. If they had looked gorgeous on my feet I would have figured out how to darken that area. I liked the toe piece inside the shoe. It kept my foot from sliding forward and running into the end. Another swing and a miss. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great shoe except for the color *by R***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2013* This is a cute little shoe and seemed very comfortable for the two minutes I had them on. I ordered chocolate chip which you would expect to be brown. They were definitely a light to medium brown on my computer screen. They are really olive green. I sent them back thinking the wrong shoe was in the box. But the next pair was exactly the same. They wouldn't let me exchange them again or I would have ordered the dark brown. Now I have to wait for another sale because you can never buy shoes that aren't on sale!
