New to sous vide and love it!
Very easy to download and use app. Very simple machine to use and provides excellent results either meats and veggies. If new to sous vide, it will take a little practice to find the right seasoning levels as the food absorbs all the seasoning while in the bag. Sure is nice to always have the perfect temperature for your food.

Just awesome.
I bought the mini on sale for $20 just to try my hand at sous viding. And I am totally impressed with this little guy. Setup was a breeze, found a recipe for steak and ran with it. I cooked 2 strip steaks at 129 degrees fahrenheit for an hour the seared them in a cast iron skillet flipping every 30 secs until I was satisfied with the browning, then let them rest for 5 minutes or so, then it was chow time. They came out perfectly, butter soft melt in your mouth , steak house quality. I highly recommend.

They make you pay a subscription to use the wifi function!
Works fine as a Sous Vide machine. What I can't stand is that they force you to pay a subscription fee to use the wifi ability that's built into the device. So I paid for a wifi enabled device, but I can't use the wifi unless I pay them monthly! Screw them, I'll never buy another Anova product agaim.

Love this little machine!
Yea you need the app but not necessarily the paid part of the app. You can set your time and temps with the free version. If I were doing a long cook I would get up off of that $10 so I could keep an eye on it via wifi….which for some reason you need anyway even tho it connects via bluetooth…idk why. But still. This little machine rocks and it’s so quiet! Not like my big (noisy) unit at all and I just love it. Plus now I can just cook a couple of steaks and not have to drag out the big stock pot so I’m doing sous vide more often (yay me!) Also the temps have been spot on according to my thermopop. I’ll probably get up off that $10 sub fee anyway just because I love it like that…. it was a great price and I ordered with rather low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. One other thing, I read where some have only been able to connect to the unit with a single phone but I was able to control it alternately with my iphone and also my android, (but obviously not at the same time).

Sous vide for a camper
My boyfriend has been passionate about sous vide so I got one for Christmas and he was like a child opening a new game system, he immediately tested it and used it the next day, only problem is I got it for use in a camper that runs on a generator when it's on and I didn't think about it's corded not rechargeable and that there's no Wi-Fi but we did figure out he can use his phone hot spot but these are our problems not the products problems.

It works.
Quality packaging and construction. Doing my first 5 drumstick cook right now. Connectivity instructions are not complete. How to use with Bluetooth only, not wifi, would be good. I did connect through my phone, but would like to do Bluetooth off my laptop at home, and leave with my phone. Not sure if that will work. If I leave and it disconnects, does the cook stop? I'll try to update after I find out. The app is working. It won't start the set cook time until it comes up the setting. That's good. Avoiding the subscription links is not clear.

Good value for the money. Great customer service.
Consistant results. I had a several issues with my Mini and found out that one of my kitchen outlets was not functioning properly. I contacted Customer service agent who helped me resolve the issue. Customer service walked me through a factory reset, and told me how to descale or clean my device (vinegar & water). It's worked perfectly every since.

Works as Advertised
It works as expected. For reasons, I need smaller wattages. Issues: Not really happy about paying to use the cloud. The device or phone does not beep when the time expires. I wish the clip could switch from the middle to the top.
