Tie Mags The Hex- Magnetic Tie Clip/Tie Pin

Looks great and holds the tie in place 100% of the time. Great alternative to a clip or tack.

This tie magnet is the most impressive tie clip I have ever bought, the magnet is so strong I had problems at first pulling them apart, but that came in handy when I put my tie on and then added the clip. I had the clip on all night, I danced had a great time and at the end of the night I still had the clip on. You may look at the price and say it's expensive, which it is, but I must say I was very pleased with the results, so to me it's worth the price and I sure you will feel the same.

Pros It is very secure, it is not going to fall off easily. Does not pierce the tie like a tie tack and not as not as obtrusive as a chain. The decorative part was tasteful and subtle as I went with the hexagonal finished round version. Cons The back piece is REALLY thick. My shirts are cut thin and I could feel the backing occasionally. Not bad but I did notice it. The magnet is a little scary how strong it is. I would not want to get my finger between the front and back so I would have been happier with a thinner and less powerful backing . For the price of this it would have been nice to have had a second top plate included or the other side a different design. It would be able to buy additional ones for a minimal cost then.

I've tried tie clips, tacks, pins, chains stays. None of them quite work as well as 'd like. Clips get lost, tacks and pins put holes in your shirts and ties, I don't care for the look of chains and stays are never quite spaced perfectly with your shirt buttons. These are pricey but just about as good as it gets for me. The strength of the magnets is incredible. Once you line up the tie front, tail and shirt and let the magnets connect it's very secure. Now Having said that I did lose the first one I bought. Looked down and it was just gone. The magnets are so strong that there's no way it just came loose. It must have gotten caught on my seatbelt or something and got ripped off and fell outside the car and I never noticed it until I got home. It was painful because they are expensive, but I've since bought three more. I hope they'll make many more designs and maybe even colors!

I received my Hex magnetic tie "pin" quickly after ordering. I am very impressed by the strength of the neodymium magnets despite a couple of reviews I read complaining about this. You absolutely want strong magnetic force in order to keep the tie in place as well as to prevent the "pin" from breaking contact and getting lost. The pin's design is understated, attractive/classy and pairs well with all of my ties. I am very happy with my purchase and believe that my next purchase will be the American flag.
