Flour Caputo Red Reinforced '00' Kg. 25

Like so many other people I bought this because bread flour was completely unobtainable in supermarkets. I bake all my household’s bread (including a lot of sourdough) but usually buy any old cheap strong flour that comes my way, so this was considerably more expensive than I’m used to - but needs must in these strange times. Turns out this flour is worth every penny. Everyone commented on the amazing flavour and texture of the loaves, and for the first time ever I made a pizza dough that I was truly happy with - like something from an actual pizzeria. I’ve already had to buy more as I’ve finished the first sackful. Delivery was much quicker than stated and the courier even gave advanced notice, so fantastic service too.

This is a great flour for pizza dough, rises nicely overnight and gives a nice stretchy dough that can be stretched nice and thin. We've also been using it as a bread flour and it produces a passable loaf - perhaps not as springy as stronger flours, but rises well, develops a good medium crust and is easy to slice. It toasts beautifully, but is maybe a bit drier than I'd prefer for sandwiches. In terms of value, it's a pretty decent price per KG and in these times wher retail-sized packets are hard to come by, this has been working really well for u as a general-purpose bread flour with the occasional fresh pizza thrown in for good measure.

I bought this as I could not buy bread flour from supermarkets due to Covid19. I thought it might be too much, but 4 months after the purchase and I have nearly finished. I divided into 2kg bags so the quality is still good. It tasted better than normal brand as well. I'm very happy, and planning to buy again.

I ordered this flour during the Covid-19 outbreak as we couldn’t find flour in any of our local supermarkets. I’m so glad we did. My husband loves to make pizzas and bread and he cannot praise this flour enough....his exact words to me were “this is the best four I ever used”. It took a bit longer to arrive (just over a week) but that is due to current situation so not worth worrying about. We will definitely buy it again and we cannot recommend it enough.

Very pleased with flour which arrived quickly despite the busy period. Excellent quality product suitable for sweet and savoury breads, pizza etc. Comes in a strong paper bag so easy to store. Very impressed with the seller who replied to query wirhin an hour on a Sunday and provided all the help and informatiin needed. Highly recommended!

Lovely quality patisserie flour. Not clear from UK company that it was coming from the mainland and (in the pandemic) it spent 10 days on the road with the carrier they used (Deutsche/DHL).

Bought it during the first lockdown when getting fresh bread was tough and finding flour was harder. It makes an amazing white loaf. Obviously it also makes good pizza but it really makes some of the best bread I've managed to bake.

Probably the best flour for breads pizza and pasta you can buy. Make no mistake, this is a first class product that is worth every penny.
