After getting stuck on hold in yet another corporate medicine phone tree for over 35 minutes and held captive by a recorded fake perky male voice loop relentlessly exhorting me to have a prostate examination and experience “advanced cutting edge diagnostic and treatment options,” I nearly lost my voice from uselessly reaming out both the absent and anonymous bozo I imagined in my head to be the individual who came up with the incredibly stupid, not to mention tacky and insulting idea of trying to use a phone tree voice advertising loop to try to hawk prostrate medical services to middle aged women. In order to distract myself and save my sanity while in phone tree hell waiting to schedule an appointment. It was serendipity that a few days later I discovered these adorable surfing penguins for sale on amazon. I just love watching the cute little guys. They’re a fantastic mode of distraction from annoying corporate “customer service” phone tree recordings that never shut up. I am amazed at how much relief from stress and irritation I have when I can wile the time away with my new toy. If you spend a lot of time on hold, I highly recommend looking into buying these surfing penguins or something similar. They can making your like and blood pressure so much better.
