Size is perfect for a medium sized to small offset. Amazing quality. Gives great flavor and color on the St. Louis style ribs I smoked. Smoke is milder and sweet.

These oak chunks were the right size pieces i need for my char griller smoker.

The quality and everything is about as expected, but the quantity was grossly lacking. I got like 5-6 small pieces, really only enough for a couple cooks at best. Came in a box slightly bigger than a shoe box.

Used this in an offset smoker. The smell and flavor of hickory is about the only good thing about this.If using this,1. Kiln dry it yourself or leave it in the fire box away from the fire to dry out and get ready to burn. Otherwise it takes a long time to catch on2. Either have a big bed of coals, or split the chunks into smaller splits, or have a leaf-blower/hair dryer ready to bring the flames back up. The chunks are too thick to reduce to coal before one chimney worth of coal bed burns out

Ordered this wood, and it arrived on time and as advertised. Good dry cherry wood logs, smoked chickens the first night. will buy again.

The wood lights easy and burns hot. Most of all it imparted a great smoke flavor in salmon and ribs.
