Does this have a hole on the end to help release it? We ordered one that didn't (we didn't know that when we ordered), and now we can't get it off.

I ordered a half dozen of these. The hole is there but smaller than needed for the key thing. I used a 1/16" Allen wrench. A heavy gauge paper clip works too if bent ninety degrees.

what is the length of the spindle?

The spindle is 5-7/16" over the bobbin. It is 6-1/8" over the end of the pins.

I ordered these two times in November. They were mis labled, and the wrong spindle was sent. Both orders were returned. Has this been fixed? Thank you

I can only tell you that the one that we received was correct.

I purchased these and they don’t spin. Are they “controlled spin?”

Then they're not installed properly possibly. Or, something else is wrong.
