The lampshades were great and exactly as described, but on arrival, I discovered that the square shape of the shade overwhelmed the space available for the lamp, which is a risk of buying online. I put them back in the box and quickly returned the shades in original condition with cellophane wrapping intact and bought the same shade (same seller, manufacturer, color, fabric, and dimensions) in rectangular format so that the lamp would not take over its space. To my very unhappy surprise, the return shipping via Amazon for 2 lampshades was $55, which Lamps Plus subtracted from my refund. The description on Amazon did state that the shades were eligible for return, but I had no warning that the cost of return would equal almost 70% of the original purchase price. I will NEVER purchase from this vendor again!

I was nervous about buying lampshades online because I know how rough and careless parcel carriers are, but these were packed in boxes with internal reinforcing, they arrived in pristine condition. They work perfectly on top of my two home made lamps.
