i bake a lot at home and this knife made cutting crusty bread so much easier the blade is sharp and glides through without squishing the loaf it also looks really nice with the damascus pattern feels solid in hand and works well for cakes too

This knife was a good purchase. It cut my sourdough so nicely. Sits great in my hands. And was a very good value for the price. Also the handle is so pretty, and makes it exciting to use.

Bought this in Feb and using it this weekend my son noticed the cracks in the resin in the handle. It has not been used in a dishwasher hand washed only as no access to dishwasher where it is used. The steel is good and cuts great, maybe a wood handle would have been a better purchase.

Yes some people and their expert chef of 50 years who worked in a japanese kitchen blad blad blad. My brother tried to chop a coconut and there was a lot of chipped and dented all over. When i grind it down and resharpen it, i can see the carbon stainless steel folds into the part i sharpen. It is not a surface etching, it is damascus steel.With all this said, its still a very cheap knife and should only be used to cut vegetables and some fruit, but not a coconut . . . .
