We Are Palestinian: A Celebration of Culture and Tradition

I purchased this before the current crisis in Gaza and I'm so glad I did. The story of Palestine and Palestinians is so hidden from most of the world. It is beautiful to be able to see a more full picture that humanizes the rich history and people of this land. What a wonderful introduction that is so much needed now and for the future.

I wanted to teach my kiddos (elementary school to middle school) more about the Palestinian culture and people and this books was excellent. Love the breakout boxes and art. We rarely see Palestinian stories told in our society so I love that I could find this book.

Incredible book. Meant for young readers but parents of the young readers will also learn a lot. Beautiful pages with pop-out boxes with useful facts. You will learn about history, culture, and food. I have truly learned so much! Thank you for creating such a special book. This book is extremely relevant given recent world events.

I purchased the book to give to my daughters to help them learn more about Palestine and the rich Palestinian culture. The book is informative and well written. It reminded me of my childhood in Palestine. Highly recommended.

Great book for learning about new places and traditions! Detailed drawings! Has nice information about famous people from this part of the world.

I was excited to get this shipped- it is such a beautiful book. My older kids and younger kids all enjoyed looking through it. I think it would be great to use as a resource for a book report or social studies school project. The author did a wonderful job balancing information about all regions and religions. I was excited to see a close relative featured! Overall just made me even prouder of my heritage.

This is an excellent book to celebrate Palestinian Heritage and culture. I bought it for myself and for gifts.

This book is full of propaganda

Avec des équivalents de « le saviez-vous » qui peuvent être enrichissants pour comprendre et connaître davantage la Palestine Je recommande

Very interesting and doesn't preach any agenda .. just a really lovely , informative and attractive , readable book . Would make a beautiful gift ! I bought it for myself , but would have no hesitation recommending it as a gift for either a child or an adult . What a beautiful culture it describes !

A wonderful read, for kids and adults alike! Beautifully illustrated and full of useful information. A must-have for anyone who is curious about the topic of the beautiful country of occupied Palestine.

I honestly was shocked every other page to see statements that normalize occupation. The use of names such as Hebron, Jericho and so on.. Even the geographic information; Palestine's neighbours according to the book are Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and israel. Unfortunately this info is in between some really good accurate information which makes it hard for many to notice and to differentiate. This is extremely risky and I believe is how much of our heritage and culture is being stolen; bit by bit.

Beautiful art, and easy to understand explanations that are approachable for younger kids. It addresses the truth of Palestinian life in a very realistic way. The pictures in the hardcover (the one I purchased) are beautiful and glossy.
