Very versatile tool for wiring. Great at stripping individual wires off the insulation. The sheathing stripper for taking the outer insulation off of Romex work most of the time, but have had it not cut through on the first try.The pliers work well on up to 10gauge, but for the heavier wire I switched to lineman’s pliers for a better grip on the wire.The current detector works generally but I prefer using a voltmeter to identify if my wiring is correct

Excellent tool! Must have in the garage.

All the basic features work. Well minus the locking mechanism but you consider than basic. It works it just takes some help sometimes to stay locked. The cable splitter is really just for speaker wire. The blade on it appears rusted right out of the box and couldn’t handle anything with a slightly thicker jacket. Which was a shame because I was hoping to be able to strip Romex back with it instead of using a knife to cut down the center. The wire twister is also kind of hit or miss. By the time you get the wires fed in properly, you can just use the plier portion to twist them so nice little gimmick or maybe for larger gauges to give additional leverage but on the typical wiring…not much use. Its a good little tool but failed in my purposes of being an all in one tool I can pocket and complete all wiring tasks with. It’s just slightly more capable than your typical wire strippers as the additional features really don’t function well enough.

My cable strippers came in a package that was wrapped many times with plastic. The tool itself was sticky and smelled like a machine oil or something.... Overall build quality isn't great.
