I use these to get popular or topical (Christmas, etc) for little transitional moments or even just a piece to play for a congregation's enjoyment. Don't have time to work up a bigger piece all the time and these give you a bare-bones structure to embellish.

I can't play the way these composer intended, but I certainly can do a very very water downed version. It is not so simple that I get bored. But it is great for someone with busy life style and just want to relax in front of the piano. My 6 y.o. can do most of these as he progresses in his lessons. So a "duet" is possible - just have to move over an octave

I really like using this book for my newly intermediate piano students who are just beyond elementary, and give it as a gift regularly. The students can practice these themes for recital that come from operas and ballet suites that we can study, and are familiar to their parents. The parents love that their children are learning "tunes" they recognize, and I find that encourages them to make sure their kids get adequate practice time.

As all Faber books, this one is relly beautiful, the songs are perfect, so well done, so well written, so easy to read, these books from Faber are absolutely perfect for me, the levels are so well structured and helps me to know in what level I really am, I have learnt to play the piano with this books, a lot more than in school, so much that I quit school and I am advancing so much with the books, thanks Fabers for your help
