Bioreal Organic Dried Yeast-3 packs of 5x9g

If you don't want aluminium or other nasty additives with your yeast and you want your yeast to last, this is the one. It may seem extravagant to have each portion of yeast individually wrapped, but this does mean that the yeast keeps perfectly so there's no waste of the actual, vital, product. Any baker who bakes real bread is likely to recommend this yeast (have a look around at the real bread recipes they post) because it's simply excellent. The best, in my book!

I have bought this yeast three times. It usually makes beautiful bread. This time it looked darker and bread didn’t rise. I tried a sachet from each box but none of the loaves were any good. I can’t return or get a refund so won’t be risking buying it again. £16 is good value if it works but a lot of money to waste if it doesn’t.

The yeast acted beautifully in my loaves. Nice to know there are no nasty ingredients added.

Makes great bread

Not one packet of this yeast has worked for any of the bread dough that I've tried to make which has been a bit frustrating to say the least. Had to give it one star but in my experience it's not worth that

Very good quality product

3 packs bought , 1st pack appeared fine , 2nd pack is faulty and yeast is clearly not fermenting. Wasted very good flour on two loaves . Tested the next packet of yeast by adding to warm water and touch of sugar - over 10 minutes and results are no fermentation. best before date fine; Either dodgy batch or stored incorrectly by supplier.

Awful. Tried a ferment. No rise. Added it to a dough batch. The powder clumped up. After 1.5 hour rest it looked dead. Tried to shape into loaf and small baguettes. After 40 minutes virtually no change and hardly any rise. Tried this again twice since, still no rise at all. Either year expired before purchase or it’s been stored incorrectly or it’s just rubbish. Shame it doesn't work as it is one of few with no additives. And it stinks. Back to Tesco for the fresh stuff...
