These hexagon lights exceeded my expectations. They’re super easy to install and the app makes it simple to control the colors and patterns, also easy to use with Alexa. I really like the different lighting modes and how it syncs with music is perfect for gaming or relaxing. The panels are bright, and the colors look amazing. I’ve only been using them for a few days, but they’ve added a cool vibe to my room. Definitely recommended!

I got these hexagon lights for my kid’s room and oh my god, he was so surprised! They look amazing and so unique compared to regular LED strips. You can arrange them in any shape you want, the colors are super vibrant, and they even come with a remote and stickers to set them up easily. Totally love them!

Yes they are cheaper than most but they are still not worth the price. The remote makes them short out. The Alexa app just makes them freeze. Just a bad product all together.

Let me preface this review by stating that I own another brand of hexagon puck lights (a set of 9), that I absolutely love but were no longer offered. Despite double checking that these were the same size and that the connectors (between the lights) looked the same as the pair I owned, I ordered these. This set is not compatible sadly. The connectors, while appearing identical, are not designed the same in the electrical lead sense. Also the USB cord has a mic and ir receiver built in that allows the remote to work with it. My other pair does not have that type of USB cord, it's just a plain one. Also these are NOT touch lights, like the pair I already owned. With that said, the lights in themselves are pretty neat. They don't have the 'touch' function but to be honest, I don't think many people even use that feature. I like the beat sync mode where it changes color to music. I do think that they are pretty overpriced though but won't let that opinion affect the star rating I give this product. Nor will the incompatibilty with my existing set affect the star rating. I wish more lights were included in this set as I find that it is very limiting (in terms of what designs you can create) with this set.

I’ve been eyeing these panel lights for a couple of years now. They originally came out as a single white color, and over the past 5 years or so, moved to true RGB 16.7 million color light panels. I saw this Amailtom 7 panel set, and decided to try them out. I got a lot to say... Panels The box contains 7 hexagon LED puck each roughly 3.5 in across by 1.1 in thick (89mm x 28mm). Each panel has a USB female connector on each side, so you can arrange them where any two flat sides meet. Using a two-sided USB interconnector, you link them together, and then plug the color & power controller into an available side, and you are good to go. Because of the limits on power, you can connect up to ten LED panels at a time; the kit has 7 and it can allow you to arrange different designs. Once powered up, they go into a preset test pattern. Using the included remote control, you can alter the LED color and brightness, and you will want to do that... these can get bright. There are timer options (nice!) and the panels are sound reactive too if you want them to work with your music, or audio from a gaming system or movie. There is a slight lag in the response, but nothing that noticeable. Bluetooth App The instructions ask you to download a controller app for your smartphone (iOS/Android) called Magic Lantern, and it is state of the art... for the year 2015. It’s clunky, and there really isn’t as much variety as you’d think to all its patterns. Most consist of “let’s do this clockwise” as opposed to “let’s do this counter-clockwise.” After about 10 minutes, I deleted it from my phone and started looking for other apps. Surprisingly, there are a lot... but none of them worked. There are many from the parent developer, but they must be coded to different LED controllers than this one from Amailtom. So I reloaded Magic Lantern, and while serviceable, there are no LED patterns that allow you to: -use breathing lights that fade up and fade down smoothly -chase from one side of your connected panels and either return or cycle. Despite this nit-picking, I decided that I wanted to add 3 more LED panels (for ten panels total) to make some other designs. So I bought the extension pack from the Amailtom store on Amazon and they arrived today. BIG MISTAKE. I opened them up, and was surprised to see that they are DIFFERENT LED PANELS. Ok... maybe they improved them? Cool. But they DO NOT WORK with the 7-Panel set! The additional panels have a different shaped back surface with an indented border (see the pics with this review). Because the connector slot is in the indented part, the USB connector tabs are a different length. In fact, the additional pucks are so different that they DO NOT WORK with the 7 Panel set. While I can understand that manufacturers change specs, there is nothing in Amailtom’s advertising or packaging that calls out that there are differences between one model to another. That totally makes them look either arrogant, unknowing or uncaring. I tend to think that they didn’t consider the differences at all, or this change is new even for them. But as a consumer, I can’t use these. They will be returning back to Amazon tomorrow for a refund. Summary The 7 Panel set is pretty basic. It works, the panels link together, and it’s cute. That’s about it. If you want softer lighting options, this is still brighter than it should be. If you have kids who want something fun and funky, give it a go; but you will quickly notice the limited options. As for me, I’m still deciding if I want to keep the 7 Panel set. I can use it... just not as I planned. I’m already thinking that I need to save up for the Govee Glide Hexa Panels. If I’m going to do a dynamic light panel on my wall, I need to do it right. Hopefully the pictures help explain my issues with this product too.

I got it for my grandson

I bought these because of the better reviews after having to send a similar set back that did not work properly. They did stick to the wall better but would just randomly turn on and off without me using the remote at all. After deciding to live with that rather than send a second set back, three of them just quit working altogether. Of course this happened right after my return window closed. This would be a one star review but I gave the extra star because they were pretty for the month they lasted. Don't waste your money.

I am a gamer. I work in tech. I love trying out brands for cool lighting. This is the worst and will be dumping. It is non responsive to the remote and the app is the same. Avoid.

I got this light for home corridor and its amazing. my friends liked it and evern they want to buy. Easy to fix and can arrange in various design & multiple colours. Happy with the purchase
