durable quality, easy to install
Excellent quality! I bought the Aootek Solar Lights Outdoor in April 2021. They have been in use for almost 5 years, and they've been working perfectly, still as bright as new. Motion detectors have never failed, and no issues with the solar lights charging at all. They are also easy to install.

Great light and lasting
Installed 2 years ago and still running great. Still stays on all night, I use power saving mode/ motion activation. Plenty of light when you move in front of it.

Bright light, but with quirks worth noting
Bright light, but with quirks worth noting I’ve been testing these Aootek solar motion lights for a couple of weeks now, and overall they put out a very strong, bright light for their size. At 182 LEDs each, they easily illuminate a good portion of my yard and front walkway. The wide-angle coverage is noticeable, and with two units included, you can place them strategically to cover blind spots. For basic security lighting, they do the job well. The build feels solid and weatherproof, and so far they’ve handled a couple of rain showers without issue. Installation was straightforward – just a couple of screws into the wall, and the panels started charging right away in decent sunlight. No wiring needed, which is the biggest convenience here. That said, there are a couple of quirks. First, the motion sensor is very sensitive – it tends to pick up passing cars or even branches swaying in the wind, so the lights may come on more than you want. Second, the advertised 2500 lumens feels a bit optimistic. While bright, it doesn’t quite compare to a wired 2500-lumen floodlight I already own. Also, the battery seems to drain quickly on cloudy days if you keep it on a higher brightness mode. You may need to experiment with the three available modes to balance brightness and battery life. Bottom line: These are solid, bright solar lights that are easy to install and effective for general security or pathway lighting, but expect some trial and error with modes and placement to get the best performance.

Good item & helpful seller
The bad: I purchased the 2 pack of lights and one was dead right out of the box. Seller was helpful however, and issued a refund for the single defective light. The good: After about a week or so of being mounted outside our house the second light is working as it should. I bought this to add some light to our home's side door. We have a motion light but it faces the yard on an overhang so it doesn't provide light in the actual door area. This worked as a nice solution without having to do any electrical work. The light has 3 different settings but for our use, I simply opted for the motion only mode. Its fairly bright for its size, maybe 400 lumens as a rough guess. The beam is very broad, so it has more of a wide spread rather than being narrow. I do wish it was just a tad more tighter and focused light; it doesn't quite have the raw power for the role of a far reaching flood type light. Either way, it lights up the area where you mount it, so it does the job. Motion sensing is right on as well. I'd say probably between 10 and 15 feet it triggers the sensor and it comes on. I have it mounted about 8 or 9 feet up above our door and it turns on as it should at night. I haven't taken it apart yet but based on the reviews it seems to be powered by a single 18650 battery via the single solar panel on top. This gives you some options if you ever need to replace the included 2000 mah or so battery. A better quality and higher capacity 3000 may cell will likely be my next step when the time comes. A few words of advice: The light seems to work best in direct or close to direct sunlight. I originally mounted it underneath the doors overhang and it just wasn't getting enough sun. Some days it would work fine but when we had several cloudy rainy days it wouldn't turn on for the next few nights. With that said, it might be wise to skip the screws and just use heavy duty outdoor mounting tape if you are uncertain it will get enough sun. Also, the fact that 1 out of 2 of mine were dead that is enough reason to perhaps consider tape over drilling holes. Overall, as it is now I'm happy with the light for the short time we've had it. The fall/winter isn't ideal for solar lights but I'll update as time passes. *** 3 Month Update *** Still working fine, despite these dim winter days. It is a small solar panel so you do want it in direct sun. Even so, you will notice spotty performance when you have consecutive rainy days. However, it does work great otherwise and has been holding up well in the cold, rain and snow so far. Nice to have some extra light at the front door!

Work great
Have had them mounted for two months and they work great. Bright, when illuminated the lights cover my balcony & deck about a 200 square foot area, easy to install, motion detectors have never failed, no issues with the solar charging, and living in the PNW they’ve weathered many drenching rain storms. I plan on purchasing a couple of more.

Great lights and outstanding and exemplary customer service!
Great lights and outstanding and exemplary customer service! After three years my lights stopped working, so I contacted the vendor. I received a response very quickly. After answering their questions and sending a photo, I got another reply within a few hours offering to send me replacement lights. This is an excellent company that truly stands behind its warranty and resolved the issue quickly and to my complete satisfaction. If I ever need solar lights again, I will definitely purchase them from this seller. As for the lights themselves: they are very good. You install them where you need light and where there is enough sun, and then you can basically forget about them. When I come home, they turn on automatically and provide light everywhere. No switches to look for, light is simply there ;-)

Fantastic Buy - Quality, Customer Service, and Function all exceeded expectations
These lights were fantastic! I love how they are solar powered and I didn't have to run electrical. Out of the box, I was happy with the quality. I am usually cautious about ordering stuff like this because it never seems to last but I can tell these will last a long time. They mounted well and figuring out how they functioned was very easy. There is a switch in the back to select the mode you want. I ordered (4) to begin with and all functioned perfectly out of the box. They even came with a charge. I have a large driveway and when they detect motion and light up, it is plenty bright. I use them on dim constant mode, then bright with any detection of movement. It was cloudy and rainy yesterday, so I was wondering if they'd get enough of a charge to maintain through the night. I got up around 4:30 or 5 and they were still on and working. Regarding customer service, I received an email providing an extra 6 mo. warranty on top of the 12 mo. manufacturer's warranty, for a total of 18 months. I expect to get much longer out of them but it is always good to know that they stand behind their product. Routinely, I also send a "hey thanks" email back just to see if anyone actually responds. Within about an hour, I had a reply back basically saying, "no problem, hope you're happy with them." That is always a nice feature (to be able to get ahold of an actual person who will help you if you do have an issue). My overall impression is that the lights exceeded my expectations and I plan to order some more to place around my property. I can foresee placing a few in my barn (no electrical in there) and mounting some to trees at the rear of our property. I also wanted to mention that on dim mode, it is the perfect amount of light. I'm a light sleeper and even with the second story curtains opened slightly, the amount of light would not be very noticeable but from my window, I can clearly see the gravel driveway and any objects for about 10 to 15 feet. It's similar to a dim flashlight. When it clicks on, it's really bright and I can see maybe 25-50 yards. I have also read some reviews complaining about the sensitivity of the sensor. I did not have any issues. I tested it and it didn't detect me until I was maybe 35-50 feet away. Maybe this is because of how I have it mounted but cars going by on the road (we live in the country & have a gravel road) do not cause it to go into bright mode. If I could give this extra stars, I would. It's a solid product for the price and I plan to buy more. Update [11/18/2020] - All lights still work as they did when purchased. I do not believe I have touched any of them since the day I hung them up. I have purchased even more at this point. Still feel good about this purchase.

Instructions don't match and flush mount is impossible
The price and value seem to be good and the LED array is fine. But too soon to tell if I'll get 5 years out of these lights as I did the nearly identical EverBrite that they are replacing. Two issues are irritating: 1) The instructions are for an older/different model with an A-B-C-OFF slider switch. Instead there is a single push button that "should" be defaulted to off. Then you guess what mode is next with one push, two pushes, etc. Since the button is on the back, if you guess wrong you'll be unmounting the light to change it. Worse the instructions add to the confusion by telling you that in "Motion sensor mode (only switch B and C workable, switch A is not workable" and "If you want to check whether the product can work normally or not, please open switch A or B or C in the back". Given that there is one button and not three switches, this is simply gibberish! 2) The light is mounted with two screws at the top. There is nothing to secure the side or bottom. The top screws are fine for the minimal weight. The problem is the back panel has 8 screws to hold it to the main body. These 8 back screw holes have a small lip so when you tighten the two top mounting screws the back panel mounting lips don't allow the light to be flush with the house. The bottom of the light is not secure. I compensated by adding washers behind the two top mounting screws between the light and the house and pieces of exterior double sided tape to the bottom and sides. It's better, but still not solid to my house trim as the older EverBrite was. Aootek does provide a wall anchor to use for the top mounting screws. The wall anchor will also have a lip above the house surface that "might" compensate if you are mounting to stucco or drywall. But since I'm mounting into solid wood I have no need for these anchors and especially don't want to drill a larger than necessary hole in the house to use them. What appeared to be two simple screw holes to mount turned into a project.
