## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the watts draw at low and high speeds**
A: Low- 2 watts, High-47 watts

**Q: How quiet are these things? I need something for the bedroom but it has to be silent.**
A: It is very quiet on the 50 or less setting, of 100. It doesn't oscillate, so there is less sound.

**Q: Is this for outdoors such as on a covered patio or is it just for inside? Thank you.**
A: it will work fine anywhere!

**Q: Why does the air feel not strong enough?**
A: there could be a myriad of reasons, did you position the fan close to a wall so the intake of air is limited?
had it worked fine previously, but over time it stopped feeling as though the air were circulating as strongly?
It could be as simply as cleaning the intake area (fans do require regular maintenance & cleaning, even if you think your home isn't quite dusty (trust me, it IS!) OR it could be entirely possible there may be something with the motor possibly not working properly. If you press the fan speed button up to the maximum setting and you're not feeling a strong airflow from the front of the fan, I'd check the power source & try plugging the fan into another outlet to verify the same behavior, and if that is the case where your just not feeling a strong air flow, and you've cleaned the air intake section, and just not getting a strong airflow, perhaps your motor in the unit could be the cause of your issue.
I've had my fan going on three years now, & it's been working like a champ! I clean the air intake regularly (at least once a month) & aside from a little occasional noise I'll hear it make (which I attribute to just typical wear & tear) but due to it's placement isn't anything that is noticeable enough to be annoying or distracting - my fan is working quite nicely.

When you need focused laminar flow

*by D***L on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2017*

This is the perfect fan when you need a focused column of air (laminar flow) rather than the turbulent air moving in all directions created by a typical fan. The blades are adjustable with the round dial on the top if you like to make the flow even more concentrated. Most fans make the room look cheap, but this fan has a high-end look. Here is a photo of this fan helping to circulate the air from my gas fireplace. When the fan speed is set to around 25%, it's so quiet you can't even hear it. When it's at 50% it creates a pleasant sound of moving air, which would still be ok in a quiet reading room or a bedroom. When it's at 100% it makes a real nice wind storm and creates a lot of wind noise. Most of the sound is from the rush of the air rather than from the motor, which is a sign of good design engineering. The remote control is a convenient feature. I have some air purifiers that have a similar tower design, except I never have to bother to change filters in this one. My favorite use is to create a gentle breeze and to quietly circulate the air (not so much for cooling because I already have an a/c for that, but I love to feel a gentle breeze like being outside in nature).

This is a great fan for me!

*by J***B on Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2021*

It was easy to assemble, and the base seems fine for the purpose, even though I saw a lot of negative comments about it. The speed control is great, but I only run it on 99 (Full). The noise level is high at full blast, but still less than most I have used that didn't work as well. I like the fact that the fan can be cleaned. The airflow width adjustment is nice. I recommend this product.

Here is how much power it uses

*by B***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2018*

The reason I bought it and the reason I am keeping it is because of it's low energy usage. When researching this "Energy Smart" fan I could not find any information on how much energy it used or what baseline they were using for the "80% less energy" claim. There was nothing on the manufacture's site and when I got the fan, there was no information in the manual either. So I bought a watt tester. Here are the results.Off (plugged in) it draws roughly 0.5 wattsSetting 10: ~4.0 wattsSetting 20: ~5.5 wattsSetting 30: ~7.5 wattsSetting 40: ~10.5 watts**Setting 50: ~14.0 wattsSetting 60: ~19.0 wattsSetting 70: ~24.0 wattsSetting 80: ~30.0 wattsSetting 90: ~38.0 wattsSetting 99: ~46.0 watts**Side-by-side comparison with a Lasko tower fan, the Vornado seems to output the same amount of air at setting 40 drawing 10watts as the Lasko does at max drawing 45 watts. That is impressive 77% less energy usage. As far as noise. It is indeed exceptionally quiet up to about setting 30. Between 10 and 20 it's nearly silent putting out a nice gentle breeze. Between 30 and 40 it's still quieter than most other tower fans at max and putting out an equivalent amount of air. Past 50 however it is loud. It's louder than my air conditioner. But it is pushing probably 3x as much air as any other tower fan I've used.In terms of build quality this is not a $150 fan. It's put together pretty cheap and I can see it breaking with one tip on a tile floor. If you have kids this fan won't last a week. The power plug does not insert completely into the port. The remote button feels like it's about to fall off out of the box. The air veins on the front might as well be cardboard pivoting on toothpicks. The touch panel on top feel like a toy. As for the motor, time will tell. For power usage, low noise, and air flow it delivers on the promises. But for the price tag it's really poor build quality.
