CAREFUL: This doesn't fit standard size down spout tubes.
It was stupid of me not to realize it was the wrong size for my down spouts.Just wanted to submit this review so other folks wouldn't make the same mistake. The size is clearly marked on the product, I just didn't even REALIZE there weredownspout tubes smaller than mine, so I never checked it before purchase! That was my bad which is why I left it at 5 stars. Can't downgrade it for my mistake.

A solution with a problem...
The KMJETNIVY Rainwater Harvesting System will do all that it was made for, water from the gutter to your rain barrel... except that not all is as easy as it looks! To start, the two main parts do not need a 6" gap in your gutter, that is, a cut that is 5 1/2" will do. I cut 6" and was very close to not be able to install it as both parts were competing to come off the gutter as they moved up or down. The reason for this is that the system does not include the tube that will carry the water to the barrel. Well, I thought it will be easy to find a tube with an opening the size of the plastic drain on the bottom part, but NO! Four different hardware stores will not carry that size. Finally got a piece in a mayor Store but the pvc tube was way too hard for a flexible installation so it was a little nightmare to have the KMJETNIVY parts aligned on the gutter. That forced me to install one screw on each part to keep them straight. If the system comes with a 2' flexible tube, 2 screws and better instructions, will get 5 stars from me. So just 4 stars, barely.

Make sure you add a extra gutter support strap above it or below it
The media could not be loaded. It works good easy to install just follow instructions you need a hack saw to make the cut

Product is not designed to KEEP the flap up inside the diverter.
It does divert the water fine, but there's no seal to make sure it doesn't just overflow outside of the downspout during heavy rains. Also (biggest peeve), I had to take it apart and clean out all the leaves this spring because there's nothing to KEEP the flap up when it's not in use. So the flap fell down, trapping 6 inches of leaves in the downspout above the diverter.I will use a zip tie to secure the flap to the screw, but this is just a warning that there's a flaw with the product design.

Simple and Effective
I was having problems with too much water entering our rain barrel and just overwhelming it along with the overfill drain on it. I wanted something to divert some of the water from the gutter at a slower rate. This is exactly what I needed and it adjusts so you can let more or less water through it. Install is simple just two cuts on your downspout and it slides together, no screws needed and it does not leak. One or two good rains and it filled up nicely. It does NOT come with a drain hose so I took this diverter to the hardware store and matched a hose for it. I think it was 1 & 1/2in inner diameter and I went with clear so I can see the water going though it. Remember to keep the red cap for off-season, you just slide the hose off and cap it to “turn it off”.

Did not divert water.
When I went to install it, I looked at the mechanism that was supposedly going to divert the water. Wondered how it could possibly do that. Installed it and when it rained went out to check and see if it was working or needed the diverter adjusted. Cranked the knob all the way one direction....no change with water flow. Cranked it the other way, still no change. Cranked it again, thought I would turn just a little further and the part broke.Would like my money back but think it has been too long. In California, you never know when it might rain....guess it was too long to be within the return deadline.

Excellent addition to get a rain barrel full
There are plenty of videos about this item all over the internet. All I can say is: I wish I have done this before! Nothing better than to have rain water ready for plants, or to be used in so many other ways.

Good quality but bit expensive
Very good quality and do the job, a bit pricey but not too many other options available
