This is the BEST peeler I have ever owned. Easy to grip without slipping. Really sharp - mind your fingers - and it cuts a very thin peeling with little effort. The cover - to protect blade and fingers is useful and easy to use. It is more expensive but well worth it.

I recently lost my old peeler and was searching for a similar one, but this one came up as a recommendation. Due to arthritis in my hands, I decided to buy it after reading the reviews. It's excellent and very easy to use, with a comfortable grip and a sturdy build that peels quickly. I find it much easier than using a knife and, compared to my previous peeler, it's fantastic. This peeler has a good sharp blade with a protective cover. This is great for protecting little hands that dive into drawers. The handle is easy to grip, a little bigger than usual so particularly suited to men or arthritic hands. Easy to use, overall a good purchase

While the actual peeling works well, a major design blunder is the way the eye remover at the tip is facing. See my picture for comparison with my old peeler: in the Deiss, the cutting edge of the eye remover faces the same way as the peeling blade instead of the opposite way. This weird choice requires that the peeler be rotated 180 degrees in the hand every time a potato eye needs to be removed or use an awkward motion without rotation. When holding the peeler in eye removal position, one also risks cutting one’s thumb, which then is close to the sharp blade and pushing toward it.

I really like this peeler. It’s very sharp, smooth to use, and makes peeling quick and effortless. Feels sturdy and well-made, not flimsy at all. Great quality for the price—highly recommend.
