I bought this to keep in the fridge for wet trash. It works perfectly. It keeps the smells locked in. I just reuse supermarket bags to line it. It is sturdy for use and easy to clean if anything gets spilt on it. Perfect for what I wanted!

I used to have a small bucket to use as a countertop compost bin. but we adopted a new cat and he likes to go compost bin diving. so had to find something that had a lid and didn't have any bells/whistles and didn't take too much space. This one is very simple. works well, and when closed the cat doesn't express any interest, so it serves the purpose as intended. If he starts prying the lid open, i'll probably have to devise some sort of "lock" (velcro strap, etc). but so far so good, as clearly the cat isn't clever/curious enough to attempt opening the lid yet. plastic is suitably solid and not flimsy. lid doesn't lock but seems to seal well enough. I use with a 2-gal compostable lining. the lid and the top frame (holds the lining in place) does get dirty, but it's easy to just hand wash it. very pleased.

This aesthetically looks nice and NEVER smells! It’s easy to wipe down, open, leave open, and remove compost bags. I would highly recommend it.

Great product, very sturdy and well made.

The Brabantia bin (1.6 gal) is the perfect solution to collecting food scraps for composting. My biodegradable bags (bought on Amazon) fit and the design is very sleek. The lid closes easily (no noise and seems to be air tight). It does not have a charcoal filter as some other bins do, but not sure that matters. Adding baking soda to smelly scraps kills the fungi that are needed to break down organic matter so that's a no-no, but since the bin contains odors completely, that's a non-issue. Great product!

This is just the right size and fits easily under my sink. Came with mounting stuff if needed. Haven't noticed any odors!

This is the second time we purchased this product and love it. We use it for compost scraps. Solid product and I'm glad it's available in different sizes and colors.

As with all Brabantia products, the quality is excellent. This 6L small recycling bin is perfect for sitting on my kitchen worktop, with its stay-open lid and convenient carry handle making it easy to use and move around. It’s compact and practical. Even the colour is lovely. My only negative point is that the bags for this product are quite expensive, especially since you’ll be replacing them regularly when using the bin for food waste.

Pas très pratique puisque l'on doit faire attention en vidant d'enlever le couvercle. le plastique à joué à la chaleur du lavage en machine, le couvercle n'est plus hermétique !

Da jetzt im Wohnblock eine Gemeinschaftsbiomülltonne bereit gestellt wurde, habe ich dazu lange nach einer Lösung in meiner Küche gesucht. Schließlich habe ich mich für Brabantia entschieden. Hier war ich bei der Größe unsicher und habe schlussendlich 6 Liter gewählt, obwohl 3 Liter vielleicht gereicht hätten. Der Artikel wurde am nächsten Tag geliefert und ich bin sehr zufrieden. Farbe gefällt und der Artikel macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Der Rand ist abnehmbar, um einen Müllbeutel einzuhängen. Eine Wandhalterung ist auch dabei. Der Deckel hält in geöffneter Stellung gut. Wie sich das Eimerchen im täglichen Gebrauch macht wird sich dann zeigen.
