You perhaps don't need to spend $1,500 on a new burglar alarm system. Buy this very loud bull horn for your home security needs. Most people don't turn on their burglar alarms half the time anyway. Use this horn when you hear something suspicious. It has a police siren option on the slide switch that is super loud and can be heard half a mile away. That will scare away any burglar or intruder. You also can prepare an audio file on your computer sound recorder and download it to a small thumb drive (USB drive) which you plug into the back of the megaphone. Then when you turn it on whatever was recorded on the thumb drive plays through the megaphone, i.e., music, the sound of gun shots, your pre-recorded warning in your own voice or someone else's voice, etc. The megaphone is loud. Install eight good alkaline c-cell batteries in the unit and forget about it for seven years, or the life of these batteries. Then you'll always have this home security device ready for whatever occasion confronts you. If you know someone who lives by themself then this device, set to play the police siren, will be a very good defensive security tool in lieu of a lethal weapon. I'm sure this device works very well for sporting events and for boating use. The microphone can be attached to the back of the megaphone and it comes with a carrying strap. I certainly like the one I bought.

This works great! Replacing my ANCIENT bullhorn, and this one has some crazy features! It's nice and loud, has the strap, the hand unit, USB, and feels like a quality build. I'll use this for a lot of events, but we actually used it the first time for a kind of public prank around Thanksgiving where we had two full grown men in turkey suits, using this to gobble and refer people to eating more beef. It was incredible. This megaphone put on a nice finishing touch! Pros: Loud Quality Hand Unit Strap for shoulder (couples well with the hand unit) USB Siren Cons: None!

Feels a little cheap. Works pretty good and loud, no cut outs with shaking the horn or anything with 9V but with battery pack shaking can affect sound quality.

The second time I tried to use this megaphone, the microphone didn't work. I can hear a clicking sound and the siren and USB functions work, so I know the batteries are correctly installed. Unfortunately, the time within which I could return it to Amazon had passed. I left at least 3 message for Pyle customer service, but no one returned my call. I finally reached someone, who said to send it back with $20 for shipping (which he reduced to $15 when I complained). So my choice is, do I spend $30 or so on round-trip shipping to fix a $45 product, or do I have a product that doesn't work? Don't buy from this company -- they don't stand behind their products.

This megaphone is awesome! I hesitated buying it because of some bad reviews but I'm glad I went ahead and did it. I've been annoying my family and neighbours with it for about a week now and it's great! Very, very loud at maximum volume, nice and clear speaker and I love the detachable mic. It also comes with a shoulder strap so you can carry it at your side and still use the mic. The button on the mic can stay turned on so that you don't have to hold it down while speaking. Great for inciting an unruly mob or hollering encouragement at your child on the soccer field. I went with this model as opposed to the rechargeable one because I had concerns about the life of the rechargeable battery as they often blow. It seems solidly constructed and looks pretty cool once you peel off the 'Pyle Pro' stickers. I don't know what those complaining expected for $40 but in my opinion the quality is exceptional for that price. I foresee many years of irritating everyone around me with my Pyle-Pro megaphone.

I love the siren. It works great. I needed this for work that’s why I was so excited when it came in. Unfortunately when it’s in talk mode there is a constant static noise even when you’re not touching the buttons. The trigger on the handle feels like it’s going to fall out. Also when you actually talk into the mic it sounds staticky. The thing is the one at my work that they have, there is no static noise when it’s in talk mode or when you’re talking into it and that’s what I liked about it. I also really love this brand. It saddens me that I might have to return this and get a different version of it and wait even longer to get it because I waited for a week and a half for this to come in.

I use this item for work, and I can tell you, people know that I am on my way even if I am still far away! It is great, with good quality, it has traveled transatlantic several times and it’s still in great shape! I love that it is pretty light weight. The sound is good and the material is great for the price, definitely recommend
