I like this case! Some quirks to get to know about it. Very sturdy and will protect your ipad (thus a bit heavy), works well holding in portrait mode, but for me it was not intuitive how to set it up.. See my photos if you also are puzzled. It is magnetized to hold together, which holds great and also allows you to remove parts as desired. (The “endcap” for example is something I do not use around the house but I do put it on for carrying/ transport.) The “short ends” of your ipad are not covered, which is fine with me since those are the sides with plug, buttons, and microphone/speakers. Great product!

Just like my review for the model made for the 11 inch iPad Pro, this unit is great for the new iPad mini. I loved the 11 inch model so much that I chose to buy this one for my mini. It works great and has all the adjustable modes I would normally use. For writing small notes, to enjoying content, to FaceTime calls, there is a mode for everything. The only thing I did not like about this product is the Apple Pencil cover. IDK what it was but it does not feel like the same Apple Pencil cover you get in the 11 inch variant of this unit. I ended up throwing mine away because of that, thankfully I dont use my Apple Pencil with my iPad mini. Now, I am very picky but it still worked and protected my Apple Pencil great. I just did not care for it. Regardless, it was a great purchase and it comes with a case that attaches to the mini and it is great if you just want to take the mini with you and you dont care for the adjustable cover.

Case is great feels good quality but most of the times you end up closing the ipad after using the stand position the case ends up detaching from the wrong side. Also the extra part to kind of close it more securely or place the pen is completely useless

This case is great. The folio part is detachable, and is also very versatile. I keep it at my desk to prop up my ipad when needed, but take it off and keep only the case on my ipad to put in my backpack to go to class. I love that the case feels thin, but is thick enough to lay flat on a table (I still don't understand why all ipads have a camera bump now... seems ridiculous). The magnetic back of the case part is a bonus -- I can attach it to my fridge or any metal surface if needed. I also love the feel of the fabricy back to the case. It has great grip and just feels good in the hand. Now, if only they made it in more colors besides black.... I would buy another one if they did.

Just received the tomtoc ipad mini 7 cover. Perfect match. The detachable cover adds a great grip and a secure feeling in for the mini 7. The folio cover detached from the actual protection case, love this feature. Magnets are has the right amount of strength to hold and to detached when you're wanting the separate the case and cover. This Tomtoc 2 part case has the quality of apple. Would definitely recommend 👌

I didn’t like it, sorry. I was looking for a cover I could separate from the main case and use for reading while still protecting the iPad. This seemed like the only option, but it felt too cumbersome for me. The plastic quality of the inner iPad cover isn’t great, and the extra magnetic holder for the pen is inconvenient. The magnets that attach the iPad are too strong, yet the case still feels wobbly and unstable. I gave it 3 stars because the outer part does feel well made, and it’s clear someone put effort into the design. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this case/ cover for my iPad mini. It is great in portrait or landscape mode or you can remove the case completely very easily. This was recommended via a YouTube Apple products reviewer and he was not wrong. I think you’ll love it too!!

It is the only case I found for iPad Mini Vertical function in Amazon. It works well. A little bit heavy. Other than that all are good. Good quality. As I see it has only black color if you do not mind.

its definitely serves for my daily routine activities and versatile use cases.
