The key here is to know this is the type of storage you're looking for. If you know, then this is a good product at a good price. If you're looking for moderate or greater security or theft deterrence this isn't it. If you're looking for moderate or greater durability this isn't it. This is not a safe, nor is it a firesafe-grade protector of its contents. If you're looking for a place to store small items and keep kids or nosy friends/family out, or something to set on the table in front of you at a yard sale, you are not likely to find a better item for the price (unless it's one of the other several brands which seem to be using this same item from the same manufacturer). It's essentially thin sheet metal with a plastic knob and a very basic adjustable 3-digit combo lock. Because it's steel it's got a relative degree of durability--if you put it under a 20 gallon rubbermaid tote full of books during a move, the contents will most likely come out fine. If you drop that same rubbermaid from the second floor onto it... Well, I wouldn't make any promises. As a reasonably fit adult male I would probably be able to break this open with a large flathead screwdriver in ten minutes or less. Anyone should be able to get in with a drimmel in probably even less time. All of that said, I would like to also convey that this is slightly thicker than most of the thin sheet metal boxes I've seen, the edges are all well-rounded so I haven't had to be careful not to cut myself, the hinges are internal to the box (which is not as common as you might think on a box that would bother to have a lock on it), the handle is very solidly attached to the box such that I don't think you could fill it with anything dense enough that the handle would separate when you lift it, and even the very basic combo lock is visibly higher quality than comparably-targeted combo locks. The only thing that superficially appears "cheap" is the plastic knob. And even that doesn't have any apparent low-quality artifacts like sharp parallel lines of plastic on either side from a cheap mold. For what it is meant to be, it's actually quite good quality at a very good price and if it meets your needs you won't regret the purchase. If anything I've said has dissuaded you then you probably need to be looking for a safe or firesafe.

I ordered and received my lock box in a very timely manner. It arrived on time brand new in the packaging wrapped in plastic. It came in am Amazon box then inside of the actual packaging. All pieces were there. It came with a removable black cash tray but I don’t need that. The box is huge. As you can see in the picture above, that white paper is the size of a normal sheet of white computer paper so this is a very large box. I can fit at least 35 medication bottles and they’re all standing upright as for the lock, it is a combination lock with three numbers. Inside the packaging there is a piece of paper that has instructions how to set your own combination with those three numbers. To lock the box you close the box turn the wheel and put the combination numbers on a random number. Then to open your box, you put the three numbers on your combination numbers then you turn the wheel in the box opens. I ordered the color pink and it’s a nice color pink. also, there is a metal carry handle at the top which makes it nice. This is a metal box and it seems to be of good sturdy metal. Also, you are able to change the combination lock if you need it too. I would definitely recommend this box and I think this will last me a very long time. If I need it to purchase again, I would definitely purchase this product again.

The box arrived in good shape. I was able to set it with my own lock numbers. Im able to use it exactly as needed.

Great lock box at a good price. I bought this to use as a mini, lockable medicine cabinet. I bought the smallest one and it's the perfect size for what I use it for. The materials are very high quality - the locking mechanism is solid and doesn't feel flimsy at all, and locking it/changing the code is much smoother than similar boxes I've used in the past. There are some issues I have with it: * There were a few minor scratches on the box even though it was shrink-wrapped and sealed. * I wish the lock were 4 digits instead of 3. 3 digits for a code seems too short and easy to figure out - although I guess anyone with enough time and patience could figure out any code regardless of length, so it's a moot point. * The tray included for the smallest size is useless if you plan on using it for cash. It's interesting that they advertise it as a cash box because the tray would be terrible for it. It's not even big enough to hold cash without it being rolled up. I'm sure the trays for the larger versions work great. * I think the product would've been a lot better if it had holes so you could drill it down to something. I know portability is important for a lot of people, but I would've loved to just drill it to the bottom of my bathroom cabinet and had the peace of mind that no one could just grab it and run off. Overall, despite these very minor problems, I love it. Highly recommended.

Great cash box

We bought this lock box for our 6 year old son to start saving his money and learn about currency. He is able to unlock the box with his combination and re lock it with ease. Its sturdy enough to carry around, its been dropped with out opening a few times but I do feel if an adult wanted to tear it open they could (never tried though). I think its great for kids and even adults keeping petty cash in the office or something like that. Its a good size for a desk drawer, nightstand or hiding under a bed or furniture too.

I just received this and it came with a scratch on it. I ordered a replacement so hopefully that one will arrive without scratches . The replacement arrived and also has some flaws but this one isn't as bad.

Good value - does what it says. Big enough for what I need and small enough to be mobile (the coin drawer prevents the coins from flying around which happens es with my bigger cash box). I love that I don’t have to carry a key around.

Got the box from the driver and when i open it up and tuck out the cast box there was no lock on it, the lock was inside the box I then look at the box it came in and it said please do not return it?

The lock broke only after 3 uses.

This works as expected. It won't stop a determined thief from opening the lock, but it's a good simple lock box. The instructions to change the combination were very clear.

I like the size & color. Combination is easy to open & lock. The box is strong.
