This cast filter wrench fits perfectly on the original equipment PF63 filters. It also fits well on the SuperTech equivalent MP10575. I did a fit check for the 918 filter socket wrench and it does not fit on any of the other aftermarket PF63 equivalent filters I had in my basement. I’m not sure if it is because they have thicker cans, or different geometry on the end, but you cannot use the socket with many of the filters that can be used to replace the PF63. On the plus side this indicates to me that this will work very well removing overly tightly installed PF63 filters. Fits It does fit on OEM AC Delco PF63 It does fit on the SuperTech MP10575 Does NOT fit It does NOT fit on the Purolator BOSS PBL22500 It does NOT fit on the fram synthetic endurance FE10575 It does NOT fit on the fram ultra synthetic XG10575. (I did not actually expect it to fit over this because of its extra thick rubberized grip on the end of the filter.)

I was looking for this type of unit, but I always ended up finding cheap, flimsy, and 1- and 2-star reviews. 99% of the time the reviews were absolutely correct, so I just kept looking. When this one came up it had great reviews, but in the picture, I made the assumption that it would be a cheap cast. I ordered it in desperation, and to my surprise, it is one tough unit. It's a perfect fit, takes a ton of abuse (by me). The design is great, and cleanup is easy. I got this for my C6 Corvettes (2005 - 2013 models).

Perfect fit for my 2016 Buick lacrosse. Its also very well made and rigid compared to those cheap sheet metal type. It doesn't slip.

Nice fit and actually strong enough to take off those stubborn PF64 filters. Wish it was 3/8 instead of 1/2"

I tried this to compare the old strap filter wrench. Filter is PF63. Worked fine, but, the tabs on the wrench bite into the filter housing and it's stuck until you have the oozing filter in hand and drive a 1/4" extension and pop it with a mallet. I'll try a square of thin ripstop next oil change.
