Sylvester Stallone Collection [Cobra/Assassins/Tango & Cash/The Specialist/Demolition Man] [DVD]

Great film

A great selection of Stallone movies from his prime, admittedly they are movie's of there time but I'm a 54 year old man and I remember these when they came out. I bought this collection for Tango and Cash but the rest of the movie's are well worth a watch and the Blu-ray transfer is excellent and well worth the money.

Good buy

This box set is great value for money. The set is a Tenner on Amazon. That's five Stallone action films for £2 each. I am a big Stallone fan ( have been since Rocky) All the films are great entertainment and you get a kick out of watching them. They look a bit dated now but they are great fun. You get:- Cobra-includes Commentary, Making of (7 mins and 50 seconds) and a Cobra trailer. Assassins-Trailer. Tango and Cash-Trailer. The Specialist-Trailer. Demolition Man-Commentary and a Theatrical Trailer. Fans will like this Boxset. The picture quality of these back catalogue releases IMO range from 3 star to 4 star. All are 1080P. All the films have DTS HD 5.1 MA soundtracks except Tango and Cash which has Dolby True HD 5.1. Audio quality IMO is between 3 stars for Tango and Cash and 4.0 stars for Assassins. Some might consider these a guilty pleasure, but they don't make em like this anymore. These are good old fashioned 80's and 90's actions films and a product of their time,which makes them quite fascinating just from the feel and visual point of view of them. Cracking set for Stallone fans.

5 80's and 90's action movies starring Sylvester Stallone a selection of dumb but fun old school action movies starting with Cobra seeing Stallone as a cop taking on a serial killer. Probably the best of the bunch a very enjoyable over the top 80's action movie. Next up Tango And Cash seeing Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell as cops who hate each other forced to team up when they are framed for murder and sent to prison with Stallone and Russell a fun double act in a daft but enjoyable action comedy. Demolition Man sees Stallone as a cop frozen for a crime he didn't commit and reawakened in the future to take on a ruthless killer that the cops in the future can't handle in a fun scifi action film also starring Sandra Bullock and Wesley Snipes giving a fun over the top performance as the bad guy. The Specialist sees Stallone as a guy who goes after criminals the law can't touch hired by a woman who wants revenge for the death of her parents a fun action thriller with good performances from Stallone, Sharon Stone, James Woods, Eric Roberts and Roy Steiger. The final film Assassins sees Stallone as the world's best assassin hunted by a rival younger assassin. Another daft completely ridiculous but very enjoyable action thriller with good action and good performances from Stallone, Antonio Banderas and Julianne Moore completing a very enjoyable action packed boxset of old school action films for fans.

I am very happy with the movies I bought. They came well packaged, completely new and intact. In addition, they came translated into Arabic, which makes me realize that the seller is very smart and knows what he is selling and to whom he is selling. I am very happy. Thank you, and I will always buy from you.

Tango & Cash. On Blu Ray. How can I say any more? These films are all cracking, I used to watch them when I was growing up - I know they are 18's but somehow my parents thought Sly was acceptable (!). These all have extremely good picture quality, Assassins is really good on colour and sharpness - Some of the explosions made my middle area a bit wet. This is definately a great boxed set for fans of movies how they should be, no CGI, real explosions, iffy scripting / acting, cheesy cliches and of course the leader of the action extraveganza - Sylvester Stallone. Secial Features are not the best, probably tacked on from the old DVD's, but this is a bargain at around a tenner - Probably one of my favourite box sets that I own, and I've got most of them!

Want action than this is it, Cobra a classic with some of the other older ones that helped him into becoming a legend of to-day. All of these movies I rated as A grade plus for the thrills and spills with all that excitement that goes with it. Assassins, Tango and Cash, Specialist and last of all Demolition Man. Fabulous choice of shows that wont let you rest for to long, These movies made Stallone a star of to-day with other great supporting cast included that makes these classics worth having in your collection. Stallone and the cast in all of these shows make them stand out more than the others from that time. Some of the other fabulous actors in this collection are Kurt Russell, Sharon Stone, Wesley Snipes, Sandra Bullock, and Antonio Banderas with others thrown in for good measure. Now how can you beat that, all made their names back then. I highly recommend this collection to all as it will keep you on your toes throughout the entire package of five movies, no time for relaxation as your mind will be going full throttle all the way along, this marvellous night of dynamite explosions, guns blaring and a few extras items thrown in as well, now try to relax and with feet up, plus your popcorn don't forget that. As you will not leave your chair for a second once the entertainment begins from the beginning to end. Enjoy!
