Franchi Catnip/Cat Grass

Planted outside in late April in an 8" pot, mid May and we have an abundant crop of healthy green grass. Our 2 cats can't keep away and I've even seen some neighbours cats coming in for a munch. I've not tasted it myself but can only assume its lovely ;)

My cat loves, loves, loves. She (Nimby) has "parked" herself on the window ledge to munch her way through the growth. I fortunately have enough seeds to plant and grow a second batch and will hide in the shed.

When this arrived, I was somewhat disappointed as the contents appeared to be a few large seeds and the rest mainly chaff. I planted the big seeds one per small pot and a sprinkling of the 'chaff'. 5 out of the 6 large seeds germinated quickly and grew really well. And I was also surprised that what looks like chaff has also sprouted profusely, so I can only assume that it is another type of grass. The planting instructions are pretty confusing, trying to be pictorial only, but from what I can gather, you can plant indoors pretty much any time of the year.I have noted that this has now been renewed on Amazon, so all of the previous reviews (most of which were poorly rated due to the amount of 'chaff' in the mix) have been wiped.Overall, I'm impressed. No so with my cats, however, who are completely nonplussed by it. They love catnip, but don't pay this the slightest bit of interest in it, hence the 3 stars, rather than the 4 I would otherwise have given.
