BRITA S0591 Marella Fridge water filter jug for reduction of chlorine, limescale and impuities, Blue, 2.4L

For us this is the best water filler. Been using these for years but this one is the best for us. Easy to fill easy to handle and works great.

I bought this to filter my tap water as I was tired of buying spring and table water. I'd drank mainly bottle water for the last 12 years so when I tasted the water from the Brita jug I noticed a slight taste to it, however I'm guessing I got use to it quite quickly because I didn't notice the taste after a day or so.In terms of the jug itself, it is a good size for 2 in a house hold, I am not too sure about a family, you'd probably have to refill it almost every day. The jug is well made, good build quality, sturdy, strong and feels durable. To be honest I would not expect or accept anything less for the price.The jug has a nice slim form factor so it fits easily inside on the fridge door which is very convenient. It is very easy to install the Brita maxtra cartridge and as you'd expected even easier to use the jug. Over all it is a good product and decent value for money. You definitely can get cheaper on the market but I'm not sure you'd get quite the same build quality and functionality like the indicator on the lid. I can confidently recommend this product. Have had this item for a long while now, it does an amazing job filtering the water, it's got a simple to use interface and for swapping filters. It's a good size and fits several pints of water with no leakage. Overall good value for money and will buy again when I need to!

The BRITA jug is without a doubt one of the best methods to enhance and purify tap water. Certainly living in a soft water area the filter is still used. The water tastes noticeably less harsh when filtered. The cartridge is changed every month because the taste is the indicator of the necessary change. I do think the filters are great and the jug needs to be washed weekly.

Have had the jug now for 4 months and it really is very good.There are of course more expensive makes and brands out there that do a lot more fancy stuff, but if you just want a simple filter jug that does everything right, this is a great example.The pour is smooth, it fits nicely inside the fridge door, and it is very handy to have the digital timer on the lid to remind you when the next filter is due to go in.I honestly cant find vault with the jug. It does exactly what you want.All I could say is it is quite heavy when full, so anyone with weak wrists would struggle to use it, and the larger XL size jug would be even more of an issue.Also, these new jugs only take Brita Maxtra brand filters, as they were recently redesigned and no longer take other brands such as Evolve.

My old Brita jug's lid has been completely worn out and I wanted to have a replacement lid part of it. It has turned out that you cannot have PAID replacement parts for a product which is not under warranty - as they simply "don't have the facilities to sell them" - LoL. In the unlikely event you have problems under warranty, they will give you free part replacements, but nothing comes after that. If I knew this beforehand, I would never buy Brita again as this is nonsense. Anyway this new jug is about half of the capacity of my old one, but apart from that it has been improved in multiple ways and I am happy with it. Still this customer care and the fancy webpage all for something you probably never need and when you actually do, they walk away. Thank you. Being a market leader should come with some kind of additional support/care attitude I would say.

I was really delighted with this Brita filter jug, which I have previously bought in stores for a much higher price. The results are excellent, especially in a hard water area - you are drinking pleasant-tasting water, and given the awful revelations as to what water companies are doing, you feel safer, drinking it.

Fantastic, I really notice the benefits and great taste. I drink at least 2 jugs per day of just water plus extra for water bottles, ice, decaf hot and cold drinks etc.
