Each story is unsettling in its own unique way — some leave you thinking long after you’ve turned the page, while others hit with an immediate, visceral impact. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to his work, Stitches is a must-have addition to any horror manga collection. It’s creepy, it’s brilliant, and it’s pure Junji Ito. Review: Good read, great artwork. - It's not your typical graphic novel read. It's more of a short story compilation with some really good artwork throughout. There is also a bonus manga at the end! I haven't finished reading it yet but overall I'm very happy.

Not As Bad As Some Are Saying
So far, I've read just over half of these short stories. The writing isn't poor. If anything, the stories are short enough that you want more. That may be a legit complaint but also means the writing isn't bad. And Ito's accompanying art definitely helps. The short manga story isn't bad but had an abrupt ending in my opinion. If anyone is looking for Junji Ito in novel form, you may be disappointed. But that's not what this is. But for a quick decent read or something to check out in your travels, Stitches isn't a bad option.

Spooky Short Stories
Nice collection of spooky short stories! Reminds me of the "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" collections I read as a kid. Note that this is a short story collection with some illustrations by Junji Ito, this is not a Junji Ito manga.

Ito Lover!!!
I love Ito, his art, and everything he touches. Great story as well. I'll have to check out the artist's other works!

The stories are.... Anticlimactic?
I bought this knowing it was a colab because I love Junjis art, even when he's not the one writing the stories. I'm going to give this 3 stars because the art is amazing (as junji always is) and for the most part the writing is, at the very least, decent. The only issue I have with this collaboration is that all the stories are overwhelmingly anticlimactic. I understand that they ARE short stories with only a few pages but the endings just feel so lacking in substance, which is furthered by the fact that each character isn't given anything but a letter for a name, which makes it hard to get into the story.

Don't expect a manga, but well worth the price
Stitches is the perfect name for this book. Short stories with a stich a horror weaved into the fabric of the larger story It reminds me of the "scary stories to tell in the dark" series, being mostly narrative with an accompanied illustration of horror. Although not as engaging or horrifying as a standalone Junji Ito manga, this is worth a read for those interested as a horror writer. These vignettes are a powerhouse of horrific moments. Imagine a somewhat normal moment, now inject it with a hiccup of the supernatural....this is what stitches brings to the table. You may not be able to suspend belief throughout the narrative, but the tales are entertaining and have stitches of horror woven throughout the fabric of its storytelling. Well worth the price, and well worth the read.

I bought this because I thought it was a manga, but it's like a novel. Still good though.
