There’s little to no lag, and the palm rejection works well, which was a big deal for me since I like to rest my hand on the screen while writing. This is a nice pen, and it works and connects well to my iPad 11. It magnetically connects to the side, and the colors are beautiful. It holds a charge well and is comfortable to hold. I've given this its drops, and it has not broken. A few flaws are that the on and off button on the top is very sensitive, so I sometimes accidentally turn it off while using it, which is annoying. Also, THIS PEN IS NOT PRESSURE SENSITIVE. The whole reason I wanted a pencil was to draw in Procreate, and this pen was a letdown when it comes to that. So don't get this if you are an artist, invest in a Gen 1. I make do, but don't make the same mistake I did. If you just want a nice pen that magnetically connects to the side, is useful for notes and journaling, and helps you conveniently navigate your iPad, but don't want to pay $80, then this is for you.

Bought this for my teen daughter & she uses it frequently. A terrific buy and quality has been great so far, nearly a month in. Very happy with the quality of this. Noticed that at times, it may turn off but an easy tap and its back on and working. Happy with our purchase.

I don't have experience with the authentic Apple Pencil, but I have found that this works well for my needs at a very low cost. I really only use my pen for taking notes within the GoodNotes app, but it works well for my basic note taking and selecting. I removed a star because it is frustrating that a light touch to the top will turn the pen on or off. When I'm typing I apparently have a habit of hitting that part of the pen to my chin/face and it turns the pen off. Battery life has been great for me. I've charged it twice since purchasing a couple of months ago.
