My First Science Books Box Set

I bought the solar system book for my grandson who turned two for some his astronomy loving dad could read to him and enjoy. Little did I know he would become addicted to space. He has memorized all g th he facts! He pays with his balls assigng the planted by correct size shape and position. I thought he might like like the ones on ocean and earth as well. And I might as well get the three pack for less and the solar system book can be at granny’s Besides that maybe he will quit insisting the earth is made up of the water and he leaves. Ha hap

My little boy likes his father read for him every day.

Nice and beautifully crafted book set with wonderful pictures, no complicated language or vocabulary for kids of 3-5 years. Our boys love this book set. The case makes storing the books easy and neat.

Good vocabulary and pictures for little ones.

My First Science Books 3 Book Box Set: All About Science for Kids Ages 2-5 (My First Book of)I got these for a 5 year-old boy who is a beginning reader. He loves them! There are tons of full-page photos very well printed on good quality paper and helpful text sections. The text passages will need to be read by an adult, but the 5 year-old did a good job of reading the photo captions (for example, gray whale, etc.). He loved looking at the pictures and telling me all about the animals. He even learned a few new words!The hard sleeve holds all 3 books. The books are paperback. It's a really great set.The only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that he managed to make a small rip in a page and he's not hard on books. I was sitting right there with him and am still not sure how he managed to rip it. Shouldn't be a major issue for most 5 year-olds, but take that into consideration if buying for toddlers.

What a truly age-appropriate set of books. Nothing here is diluted, which is most welcome because we often struggle to find introductory texts that use the appropriate technical terms (rather than some "babified" language). Here, everything is written at a child's level of understanding and also offers a true education (rather than merely "pretty pictures"). This approach is most welcome and genuinely provides learning opportunities.And, the visuals really are aesthetically engaging. We genuinely appreciate the outstanding artistry here. Likewise, the amount of text per page is extremely controlled. This guarantees the books will always remain fun without ever seeming like work. And the questions offered allow for personal engagement in the work. Mom and dad will obvious read the books with the child and then these questions open the door to brainstorming and conversation. Smart.This set of books is perfect for parents preparing the little one for private school, private tutoring, etc. It is also great for older children whose schools seem a little behind and the parents are seeking supplementary materials.Such a great tool for high-achieving children. Enthusiastically recommended!

This is a really great 3 book boxed set on three topics: ocean animals, Earth, and planets. Our budding scientist is loving them!They are really dense with a lot of text, so I would actually recommend this for 4+ years old, as it would definitely be too dense for most toddlers. The books are very long and take a lot of time to read, with some pages just filled with text, so they will be better suited to older/ patient readers.There's a lot of great information in the books, and it teaches about so many different topics. There's a lot for kids to learn! Some were even new to the adults reading them aloud.The photos are really fantastic, and I appreciated that the animal photos were labeled. The only thing I would change is to add more images, as some animals and concepts are discussed, but there are not pictures to help describe.Overall, this is a really great set, and my child devoured them quickly and wanted to keep rereading!

These books are better than I expected! I got them for my kindergartener who is obsessed with space and science. I got these for him to read aloud to us and they’re perfect. He was very eager to read these over any of the other books we have. They’re not “simple” baby books, they are educational in a way that my kindergartener can understand. Actually, I wouldn’t get these for my 2.5-year-old because it might be too complex for her to understand right now. The pictures are beautiful and such great quality. The books are soft cover (wish they were hard cover since they say they’re for small children), but the outer box is hard, which helps protect them from wear and tear when you store them away or on a bookshelf. In the back of each book is a glossary of words, which is super helpful for kids like my son. SO happy that I got these him.
