The best way to keep cables neat and tidy. Reusable, assortment of lengths and a container to keep them in.

This set consists of a plastic tub with a screw top containing 16 wraps of varying lengths and thicknesses from 6" long ones at 4mm diametre to 32" long ones which are 6.5mm diameter. They are madee up a galvanised metal wire core with a silicone covering. They can be bent into a variety of shapes and twisted together to secure things together, whether that be a bunch of wires or a stem of a bush. The only criticism that I have is the range of sizes, I do wonder just how many people will want 32" long ties, personally I would rather just have more of the 6" and 12" versions, with perhaps the option to buy the longer ones as a separate product. So far they have been robust, but I am not sure just how many times they could be bent and straightened before the inner wire fractures, time will tell. I also think that the rice is a bit high at £12.99 for the pack of 16 ties when there are so many alternatives available for much lower costs.

I picked these for my husband because he has cables absolutely everywhere, he's yet to use them but they look bendy and reusable and a good mix of lengths and a useful storage container when not in use. I think they will be useful in the garden too. They seem well made.

Not quite cable ties, but silicone ties. This is a clear plastic bottle containing sixteen of the things. The lid screw off and will go back on again. There's a paper seal below that which has to be torn open. But unlike some of them, does come off very easily. Then you can get to the ties. Two are thirty two inches long. Two are eighteen inches long. Six are twelve inches long. And six are six inches long. Each type is a different colour. Cable ties will do up like a belt. These don't. The ends are identical, and as you can see from the product picture, they can be tied together. So they will fasten things up, and do it well. Just differently to cable ties. They are strong and solid though, so they are very durable. Not the cheapest, but if you need the like, then this will more than deliver.

These resueable ties are great for crafts and in the garden. I love that they are not one use and can be used over and over again. We have used these to keep our plants upright and also on a garden gate as it needed to stay shut. Great quality

This pack has a good range of sizes. At first sight these ties appeared ideal for gardening. The silicone is soft, and will not harm stems. The ties are easy to adjust, which is handy for dealing with growing plants. They keep whatever shape they’re bent into. They are completely weatherproof, and won’t snap in a cold spell. However, after a bit of manhandling they didn’t seem quite so good. If pulled too hard they stretch and lose their strength, and eventually the wire may stick out. They are versatile, but need to be used gently. Instead of the usual cable tie closure, you twist to secure them. Used to tie some roses to a stake, but sure to find other uses for them. NB unlike some cable ties, they can’t be joined together. Rather expensive, considering that they are supposed to be re-usable but won’t stand rough treatment.

These silicon ties are a great alternative to the metal cable ties because of the silicone backing making them re-usable and hard-wearing. You can indeed use Velcro wire clips but these do seem to be a lot easier to manage and can easily be removed. There’s different colours and sizes and they twist easily together to bundle wires with ease. There’s a plethora of uses like holding bag rolls together and more so these will come in handy a lot.

These are very well finished in very brightly coloured plastic. And they arrive tidily folded and packed in a tall plastic screw-top jar. The 2.5 foot ones are long enough to secure something like a rolled-up sleeping bag or yoga mat. I use them in the garden where I might prefer a less conspicuous green or black colour. But for children's things -for securing bags of toys or wotnot, the bright colours would be ideal. At the time of writing they are on at over double what I'd say they're worth, although this will likely come down. More small ones in the pack would add practicality and value.
