Just a heads up: when you open the package, there will be a lock and a bunch of batteries in the box. What they don’t tell you is there are also batteries IN the lock, so careful fiddling around with it unless you wanna test out the 110db indoors! Other than that… it’s okay. Don’t think it will stop a determined thief, but will slow them down. Alarm doesn’t seem to be too sensitive, so that’s good. Worth the price I’d say.

Great piece we live in apt complex and someone tried to steal bike prior to having this and tore up the ignition. Now someone walks to close and slightly touched "or tried to mess with bike" the alarm went off immediately and loud. We heard all the way up in apartments and went down.

After about two months I can say that this lock is magnificent. Works greatly, it is loud enough to scare whoever wish to try steal it and solid enough to be almost impossible for a thief. Together with a normal bike cable lock is the perfect combination to feel safe too leave your bike locked somewhere near or far. I really suggest this type because give you the option to set the alarm or not, which is useful if your bike is in a public place but also is not going to sound forever once active because of a bump.
