Review: Fantastic, quiet shredder, with great features at a great price! - Our old Fellowes machine (425ci) that I took home after my office closed was a beast but was abused by office peeps and finally died after 5 years of home use. This Aurora AU125 MA machine is a serious piece of shredding equipment at a great price point, equal in power to the Fellows at a fraction the cost. The ability to load a huge stack of paper (up to 120 8.5x11 sheets) and have it automatically shred the lot is FANTASTIC. This is hands down my favorite feature. We've been processing lots of paperwork from an estate and this machine has made quick work of stacks and stacks of shredding. Favorite features: 1) Automatically shreds stacks of papers so you don't have to baby sit it, inserting 10 sheets at a time, tho it handles manual insertion of media as well. I'm assuming this only works with stacks of uniformly sized papers. 2) I love how the shredding (business part) of the shredder can be lifted up off the base if needed. This makes it easy to clean the shredding teeth on occasion, and clean out the base. The drawer slides out from the front as you'd expect, when you need to empty. 3) It's extremely quiet! it's probably the most quiet shredder I've ever used. And it cross shreds to P5 size pieces. 4) The casters make it easy to wheel out from under desk when you want to do serious amounts of shredding. It's a pretty heavy machine, so being able to glide it on casters is key. 5) Holds a huge amount of shredded material. The only thing I can think to improve would be to have handles on the short sides to make it easier to pull out from under desk. There is a large groove that runs around 3 sides where the shredder part rests on the base. It's possible to grab the shredder by the groove/lip to pull out from under desk but dedicated handles would be nice.
Review: Even the Saltine Box Wasn’t Safe (Unsalted) - I think this is one of the best paper shredders I have ever owned. Right out of the box, it worked like a charm. I had over 70 pounds of paperwork that needed to be shredded, and I started feeding it documents almost immediately. I spent hours running paper through it, and the shredder handled the workload without any problems. The 120-sheet automatic feeder is a huge time saver. Instead of standing there feeding one sheet at a time, I was able to load a stack of documents and let the machine do the work. The micro-cut shredding produces extremely small particles, giving me much greater peace of mind than the strip-cut and cross-cut shredders I’ve owned in the past. The Security Level P-5 cut is excellent for sensitive documents. I was also impressed by how powerful this shredder is. It even shredded a single layer of corrugated cardboard from a shipping box without hesitation. I fed it the folded box from a package of Premium Saltine Crackers (unsalted), and it shredded that as well. Another feature I really appreciate is the automatic reverse function. If too much material is fed into the shredder, it automatically reverses to help prevent jams. That saved me from having to stop and clear paper manually. The large bin holds a surprising amount of shredded material before needing to be emptied, and the 60-minute continuous run time is perfect for large shredding jobs. Overall, if you have a lot of paperwork to destroy and want a high-security micro-cut shredder that can handle serious volume, I highly recommend the Aurora AU125MA. It has exceeded my expectations and made a huge dent in my mountain of old documents.

Our old Fellowes machine (425ci) that I took home after my office closed was a beast but was abused by office peeps and finally died after 5 years of home use. This Aurora AU125 MA machine is a serious piece of shredding equipment at a great price point, equal in power to the Fellows at a fraction the cost. The ability to load a huge stack of paper (up to 120 8.5x11 sheets) and have it automatically shred the lot is FANTASTIC. This is hands down my favorite feature. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Shredder for the Price!

I had a competitive mini-cut shredder for probably 10 years and it finally gave up the ghost. I almost passed on the Aurora AU125MA because of some of the reviews. I was especially concerned about the comments regarding customers claiming they received a "used" item. While I wouldn't put it past Amazon to repackage an item (though I don't THINK they do that), I kept telling myself that didn't make sense. So, I rolled the dice and purchased it. Man, am I glad I did! The design is absolutely perfect for my space. My old unit had a flip up feed ramp for up to 80 pages that made it difficult to load under my desk. The Aurora is not only shorter, but the multi-page load by simply lifting the top a bit and sliding your bundle under it, is an awesome design! I shredded about 5-6 years of old financial documents that were probably 20-25 pages each in a matter of minutes! I broke that pile into three bundles so I didn't overload it, but I shouldn't have worried as it tore through all three with absolutely no problem and boy is it quiet, especially compared to my old unit! The shreds are amazing as well with super tiny pieces it is almost a dust pile! As for the "used" comments regarding paper pieces found in the brand-new, unused unit, mine had some too. However, it also came with a notice informing the consumer the units are all tested before being shipped and as a result paper shreds may be found in the unit! That makes sense and I could absolutely tell this was not a used machine! This shredder is absolutely fantastic!
