I1 Smart Fabric Protection for Cars. Protects from Spills, Oil Stains and Mould. Water-Repellent - 500ml

After being underwhelmed with the Porsche branded waterproofing spray on my Boxster roof I searched for an alternative. I saw this used by a trusted YouTuber I follow so thought I’d give it a try. Firstly it’s much easier to apply than the Porsche one as it’s a spray bottle rather than an aerosol. After thoroughly cleaning, drying (allow at least 24hrs) and vacuuming the room I gave the roof several coats of this product. I did mask the immediate area of the car roof with some cheap plastic dust sheets just to keep any product off the bodywork. I then put the car in the garage and let it dry out for a couple of days. The performance of this product is simply astounding compared to the Porsche branded waterproofing spray. The water beads really well and runs away quickly. Great stuff and I won’t now be using anything else

Great product as always from gtechniq. Used it before on my previous car to great effect and just used it again on my new Kia sportage gt line s seats and carpets. Tricky application with my seats due to small areas of Alcantara right next to large areas of leather that I was scared to get this product onto for fear of damaging the leather. Try different ways of masking off the leather but then just covered it up with microfibre cloths and sprayed the Alcantara liberally followed by wiping the leather down vigorously with Gtechniq microfibre zero scratch cloths. Then followed by a wipe down with gtechniq tri clean to be sure nothing was left on the leather.. Had a great results no damage to the leather at all and to be fair I don’t think I needed to do the final step with the tri clean. The product wiped off areas not to be treated very well, but I just wanted to go the extra yard. All in all an excellent product to use on interior fabrics of motor vehicles and also home furnishings I would expect so long as you test it first in an inconspicuous area… 10 out of 10 would highly recommend

This product is very good and surpasses the performance of Renovo, a product I have used in the past with good results. However GTECH last longer and repels water more effectively. Only challenge I had with it is the process of applying it, whereas Renovo you paint it on and the drying process is circa 1 hour to touch dry, GTECH has to be sprayed and becomes sticky in minutes. To compensate and in line with the instructions I soaked the fabric (over did it!) which resulted in some white marks on the fabric. So it takes practice to use, hence in recent past I have used Renovo which is easier apply. Will use it again but will apply less per covering and do a couple of coverings which of course is time consuming and extends the process - weather implications, etc.

I saw this recommended in Auto Express and gave it a try on my MX-5. Easy to apply and incredibly effective - water just beads up on the roof and lasts for up to a year when garaged at least. Just make sure you cover the windscreen before applying, I didn’t first time and caused awful smearing in rain (think RainX if you ever had the misfortune of trying that!) and ended up changing the wipers. Otherwise fantastic.

My husband uses it on our old car, he thinks it's the best around. This is the second bottle and the rag top on our old car is "beading" again after heavy rain. It's well worth the money.

To use this product you need a fine mist spray. Mine came out in one powerful jet stream (yes I did have it on the correct setting) and I had to spread it about extremely quickly to cover the whole surface. Luckily I was using it on my new trainers and not my brand new Mercedes seats otherwise I’d have been in big trouble. I bought a cheap olive oil sprayer and filled it with the smart fabric to do my car seats and this worked fine. Just make sure you protect other types of surface eg leather and wipe them thoroughly with a microfibre cloth afterwards to remove any over spray. Also wear a mask as stupidly I didn’t as my car doors were open but I had one of the worst headaches ever afterwards. The product works well and it does show once dry so don’t panic if you have a slightly dark patch.

Best product I've ever seen and used to protect the soft top on my car. Couldn't be more straightforward to apply, and the hydrophobic properties are incredible! The water beading effect is insane. I've had the product on now for a good long while before putting up a review, and I have to say it's just as impressively hydrophobic today as it first was. My roof still looks brand new. No stains or mold. Awesome product by a great manufacturer 👍🏻

This is a great fabric protection product. While costly, I think it's worth it as it doesn't stain or discolor, leave a residue I can feel, or an odour. It is smelly during application, but that fades within a few hours as I aired out the car. Watch online detailing tutorials to see how best to apply this product.
