Vistas: Introduccion a La Lengua Espanola (Spanish Edition)

I got this book as an accompaniment to my on-line Spanish class which uses the next edition of the book which is all online. This book has worked out great, many of the lessons are the very similar and it helps me to learn when I get to actually hold the book in my hands. How could I go wrong for $6 anyway. I'm not sure if the code that came with the book would work or not since the website has moved onto another edition. For my purposes though a great book at a great price.

My school at Mississippi State University used the Vistas textbook from Spanish 1-4. I think this book does a good job of presenting the information in ways that some other Spanish textbooks don't. There are 18 chapters in it. There is even a review section towards the end that reviews the subjunctive. There are a few flaws to this book. One of which is that for some chapters, the authors didn't include enough vocabulary for some of the common/obvious things that people want to know how to say. Other than that, this book is a great one.

I purchased a used copy of Vistas 3rd edition. Material is well organized with good explanation of concepts introduced.However Vistas requires you to sign up for supplemental internet listening and practice exercises. the internet signup material is included as a tearout in the textbook. If the tearout is not available they want the user to pay an additional $50+ dollars to obtain internet access.I chose not to pay, am not using the internet for Spanish lessons and believe that I am progressing nicely.

This book is really great. I'm a little annoyed that they are going to be changing the book in the next year or so. I don't know how that works if it's university by university, but I wish they wouldn't change them so quickly. I don't see the need to change a spanish book, how much could it have changed? This is everything you need to learn spanish.

I *hate* the prices of textbooks...and the fact new additions with minute updates are put out seemingly every other semester. In that vein, I put forth great effort not to pay full price for my textbooks - I'll purchase them used or rent them. This was a great buy - all of the pages were in tact, etc. - for a lesser price.

Great book! It wasn't the version that I needed (my mistake for ordering the older version) but I still was able to use it in my Spanish class. The information was still the same, only the online information was different between this version and the current one that I should have ordered.

I purchased Vistas 3rd Edition used for my Spanish Class I take at college. What I didn't know is that the book comes with a website that you need to use--the book is not complete without it. Apparently once the password that comes with the book is used it can't be used again. So you need to purchase an additional password. It is not worth the money!!! My advice is to just buy the book new and don't waste your time and money. I am very disappointed with the whole experience of getting this book.

This is great book but it is an interactive book with website exercises. if you buy the book used you probably won't be able to access the website material as was my experienced. i wrote to the publisher about paying for access but never got a reply.
