The bell rings are cute and fun for kids, and they definitely keep little ones entertained. The colors are bright however, a couple of the bells are slightly off-tune, so the full scale doesn’t sound perfectly accurate. It’s still good for basic play and introducing kids to music, but not ideal if you’re looking for precise musical tuning. Overall, decent for the price and great for casual learning.

The Bottom Line: If you need a colorful noisemaker, this set is fine. If your intention is teaching your young ones music or playing structured songs, this set is not the one to go to. The bells have two fundamental problems that prevent musical use. We aren't sure if these are factory defects or issues with the core design, but the outcome is the same: * Jumbled Notes/No Scale: An 8-bell set should cover a smooth, sequential scale (like C to C). This set contained random notes spread across a huge range, which makes it impossible to play a simple song or learn the musical progression. * Out of Tune: The bells are not accurately tuned to standard pitches and sound noticeably discordant (off-key) when played together. Because of these functional flaws, the product was not suitable for my musical needs. However, I was glad to find that the return and refund process was accepted smoothly and quickly. Purchase with caution if you require any musical accuracy.
