They using that number on Amazon first, if not go on reedmanufacturing.com **Q: does the blade need frequent changing and how would i get a new blade for it?** A: The blade seems to hold up for a long period of time. It will depend on the amount of usage applied to the blade. We use this tool to deburr PVC Sch 40/ SDR 35 and have yet to change the blade or even flip the blade for it is double sided. Replacement blades can be ordered from Reed Manufacturing, the part number is listed on the packaging. I sure if you search the number on Amazon a replacement could be acquired. **Q: is it two parts where the seam is for the tool?** A: There is a seam, but the two halves are bolted together. The reason for the seam is each half has a slight angle allowing the tool to create the chamfer at the end of the pipe. The design allows the tool to snuggly stay on the end of the pipe while the tool is turned around the pipe. **Q: Will this also work on hdpe pipe? i need to bevel ends to insert more easily into compression fittings.** A: I have not used it in that application but in theory, if you are using IPS hdpe (same outside diameter as sch. 40) this tool should give you a bevel on the outside edge. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic deburring tool!! *by on Reviewed in the United States March 25, 2026* Best debugging tool there is. Snap it onto the end of the pipe (takes a bit of force), then a single revolution removes 90% or more of the OD's burr, leaving a beautiful, consistent chamfer. I teach classes and provide training for pros in my industry on pool and spa plumbing.I personally use this tool for the correct bevel requirement as per the ASTM standard.Beware of knocks off as they may not provide the same bevel angle.This is an easy tool to use and yes it may be expensive, but you will get the correct the results.You can use a 1/2" drive ratchet if preferred but I do not.I highly recommend this product for any pro assembling PVC pipe for any application.
