CRST 8 Outlet Heavy Duty Power Strip - Better Built Than the No-Name Alternatives
I got the CRST 8 outlet heavy duty power strip for my garage, and so far it’s been great. The moment I unboxed it, I noticed how solid and sturdy it is. The all-metal housing doesn’t bend or make any noise, which is a big upgrade from the cheap, unlabeled strips I’ve had before. SETUP AND USE With eight outlets, there’s enough room to plug in bulky chargers or adapters without any trouble. The 6 foot (1.8 meter) cord easily reaches across my workspace, and mounting it on the wall was straightforward thanks to the built-in holes. The on/off switch is clear and easy to use, and the light indicator lets you know at a glance when it’s powered up. SAFETY AND FEATURES The strip is rated for 15A/1875W, so I don’t have to worry when I’m running bigger tools or charging multiple batteries at once. The surge protection is rated for 2100 joules, which adds a lot of peace of mind when it comes to protecting my gear. Compared to the sketchy, off-brand power strips you see online, this one feels a lot more reliable and trustworthy. The 15 amp circuit and 14 gauge cord, along with 2100J protection, mean it can safely handle most 120V power tools in a typical shop. PROS: Durable metal build Outlets are spaced out for larger plugs Simple wall or bench mounting Heavy duty, long cord Strong surge protection (2100 joules) A lot more reliable than unknown brands CONS: Would be even better as a 20A strip, but 15A covers most uses SUMMARY If you want a real heavy duty power strip that doesn’t cut corners on safety or build quality, this CRST model is worth it. It’s a big difference from bargain bin strips and gives me confidence using it around the garage.

Excellent Heavy Duty Multi Power Strips
These power strips are amazing value for the money, super high quality and designed well. The cord length is as advertised and pretty much perfect for all general use cases. They were easy to mount and the angled flat plugs are a nice bonus. They have a bit of weight to them being as the housing is all metal construction, I wouldn't want one thrown at my head. Good power rating and surge protection for my computer lab. I'll be buying more as needed.

Perfectly sized power strip
Sturdy, well made and the outlets are perfectly spaced to allow for larger plugs. I use this for all of the random power tool battery chargers that I have laying around and it is great for that purpose. Easy to mount to the wall, if you want to do that. I have a couple of these and they are very useful.

Heavy-Duty Protection That Feels Built to Last
I’ve gone through more surge protectors than I’d like to admit, but this metal surge protector stands out right away. From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell this wasn’t your average plastic strip — it has a sturdy, industrial-grade metal housing that feels like it’s meant to last years, not months. What I Liked: ✅ Build Quality – The metal casing adds serious durability. It doesn’t bend, flex, or feel flimsy like most others I’ve used. It’s perfect for workspaces, garages, or anywhere a plastic strip might get damaged. ✅ Outlet Spacing – Smart layout. The outlets are spaced wide enough to fit larger plugs and adapters without blocking adjacent outlets, which is a small but huge convenience. ✅ Surge Rating & Indicators – Comes with a high joule rating, and includes clear LED indicators for protection and grounding, so you know it’s actively working. Peace of mind is important when you're plugging in expensive equipment. ✅ Mounting Options – Pre-drilled holes make it easy to mount under a desk or on a wall, which keeps cords organized and the workspace tidy. What Could Be Improved: ⚠️ Short Cord Length – I wish the power cord were a bit longer. It’s fine for most setups, but if your outlet isn’t close by, you may need an extension. ⚠️ Heavy for Travel – Because of the metal build, this isn’t the best option if you want something portable. But for stationary use, it’s excellent.

👍Mount Holes, Robust Build
Good power strip. The exposed mounting holes are 100X better than keyhole slot blind mounting holes. Some wider transformer power bricks might cover adjacent outlets. No USB ports, don't need them. Build quality seems durable. 8 outlets provides plenty of outlets but be mindful of the wattage of each device—probably best to keep the total under 1,500 watts to stay under the 80% capacity mark for safety. I don't like the offset power plug but some might find it handy.

This power strip is basically my ideal. The outlets are widely spaced and I can fit bulky adapters next to eachother without issue. The cord has a flat plug, with an angled offset which should be the standard these days. The cord itself isn't braided/super flexible like some others may be, it's just a standard pretty thick cord sheathed in rubber material. The actual strip is fairly slim, and just long enough for all the outlets. No superfluous length or random USB ports taking space. 6 feet cord length is good enough for most scenarios, mine are used on my standing desk without issue. Comes with screws to mount if you want, and a reusable cable strap. Value-wise for this spacing and number of outlets I haven't found anything that beats this. There may be cheaper strips out there but you can never actually use all the outlets at the same time with those ones.
