The extraction is slower and coffee is thin with no crema. perfect w/o the screen** A: If your screen is fairly new, then increase the coffee dose. I actually reduced my dose by 3.5 grams when I started using the screen, so that's probably not the soltion. If the screen is older than 6 months, it may be clogged, and need to be replaced. Blow against the screen to see if air easily passes through it. A clogged filter will require a very long shot-time. I've seen 50-60 seconds. The resulting shot was on the weak side. **Q: Does it smell?** A: Well, it smells of coffee once it’s used, but it is quite easy to clean. Given that it is made of solid metal mesh, it has no particular smell. **Q: 100microns vs 150microns.
