I've used this to make a couple larger than normal Nunivak style Ulu knives and one Fish River style Ulu as well and and it's worked extremely well. While not hardened, it still holds an edge through lots of kitchen usage on meats and veggies. And the Fish River style has been handy when skinning a couple deer, too.

12" x 12" x 1/32" 304 stainless steel. Not magnetic, feels solid. Unfortunately I forgot what I bought this for.

I guess I was expecting this item to be slightly easier to manipulate with my metal working tools. The actual item came as described and it was really just a test to see what we would get.

What is there to say about a piece of sheet metal? I’ve used a couple pieces of this stuff for various small outdoor projects (e.g. mounting brackets) and it looks to be holding up well with no corrosion or discoloration, which is what I’d expect. I like 304 because it’s fairly easy to bend, cut, or drill. 1/16” is plenty thick enough for my use; any thicker and it would be hard to cut with my cheap bandsaw. The only annoyance is that if you forget to peel away the backing before cutting or drilling, heat is likely to cause the plastic backing to fuse to the metal. But that’s really not the manufacturer’s fault. One other note — this sheet comes with a brushed or mill finish, i.e. it’s not bright and shiny.

Perfect. Exactly what I ordered, exactly what I wanted, and it works for exactly what I intended it to great jobs.

Title gets to the point: An excellent product with protective film on both sides. Wrong gauge for anything other than light laser engraving. Moderate to high power will warp/distort the sheets. I learned and am sharing this lesson so you don't have to.....

Has no magnetic properties. Most likely not what it says it is. Cold rolled steal is highly magnetic and this has no magnetic pull.

No surprises. Exactly what you want when buying a heavily standardized product like sheetmetal. Used it to fix a sagging joint in 3/4" ply in my tiny house floor where I jump up and down a lot, just centered it over the spot, drilled some holes for screws and superglued it prior to installation so the screw holes would be less likely to distort over time. works great, thin enough that you cannot feet it barefoot under a .39" rug but sturdy enough to not flex in my application.
