One of my best fragrances. The smell is so romantic. Love this. My only problem is that it doesn't last too long. But you will never go wrong trying this

For those unaware, Guerlain DID change their packaging for this one. I was afraid it was gonna be fake, but it’s not. I received a genuine version with the new packaging where “Mon” is black, no longer red. Everything else checked out and smells the same.

This fragrance has everything: a little woodsy, a little flowery, a little citrusy something. It is intoxicating and stays on. So many scents fade quickly. Any fragrance with bergamot has me if it also has sandalwood. It is not too heavy, but it has a heady, sensual feel to it. I love this fragrance, and my hubby loves it, too. He really doesn't like many fragrances. He's one of those people who thinks he's allergic to a fragrance he doesn't like. It's annoying. I love all types of fragrances, and It's nice to find one that my better half approves of. I think this is one of the best. I have bought a second bottle, and I often do not buy a second bottle of a fragrance even if I like it. I'm on to a newer, better scent, but this one is special. I just love it! The price was also right. Shipping was fast as well. This one will stay on my perfume tray!

We were worried by some of the reviews and paid close attention to the product packaging as received. We noted that the plastic wrapping around the box didn’t look quite right. It was folded like a gift wrap and heat sealed as if the product had been resealed. The cardboard box had definitely been opened. There was a small tear in the corner. Most telling, the “unique code” in the inside of the box lid had been carefully peeled of with an exacto knife. Hard to come up with an inocent explanation for that. The bottle looks right but the sticker at the bottom of the bottle is a bit off. On the other hand, the perfume itself smells exactly as the real thing, which has to be what matters in the end. Maybe someone familiar with the knockoff/forgery business can enlighten us, but we seem to have gotten the right product (or a very good copy thereof) for a good price (ergo the 4 stars). In any case, Amazon should look into what is really going on with this product.

Many years ago my husband and I stayed in a wonderful hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland, and this was one of the scents I noticed when walking through the lobby. They had a few Guerlain fragrances in the hotel shop, but this one was intoxicating to me. It is the only time I’ve ever called down for a fragrance to be sent to my room, and it felt like a luxury at the time. I have worn it ever since. It is still my very favorite. I spray it on my pillow so I can smell it as I fall asleep. It brings back memories of that vacation and is just a feminine, beautiful scent - not too sweet, just lovely. I’d say it’s spicier Shalimar’s slightly sweeter cousin. If you’re a Guerlain fan, you have to try it.
