I'll admit I'm a novice when it comes to comp winches as this is my first one. Here's my view. I feel the line speed is a major problem for the included wire rope getting bound up for me and some others. Once I moved to the synthetic rope I've had excellent results with this winch. It's strong enough to break both the wire rope and the synthetic line if you accidentally engage the winch and don't notice. :-) So to sum up, you could spend $150 for a Reefs winch that has an internal spool and can be programed. Or you could go $22 bucks and deal with some unraveling, and some uncouth behavior. This will work for my one or maybe two comp events a year.

Great little servo winch!

Ive run a lot of servo winchs from $60-$250 and you can't beat this thing for the price. My TRX-4 bronco weighs 12.8 lbs. Just weighed it and it pulled it right up. It won't hold that weight vertically but I don't expect it to. It creeps down at roughly an inch every 30 seconds which is extremely impressive. It's slow and I prefer that for a scale action. I like that I can spend literally a third of what I used to. I have had good luck with most Injora things and this is no different.

Works really well. Will completely pick up 1/10 rig with brass upgrades. This is my second one!

I installed it to a brand new rc I had bought and just a day after when I was about to go out and use it, it ended up not working. Idk what happened.
