I bought these to use in our two bathrooms, so they would match - but they could be used anywhere in your home. They are sleek, modern, and you can't beat getting TWO for under 30 bucks! They use AA batteries, and we haven't had to replace them and they've been working for months. They silently open when you wave your hand in front of the sensor, and you have the option of keeping them open by pressing the button on the front panel. The size is perfect, and when you put the bags in, they are hidden inside, not wrapped around the rim so they look elegant, and you could put in your living room, even. The main reason I started getting automated trash cans is two-fold. One, you don't have to touch anything to open the can - no germs, and no inconvenient step-lever. The main reason is when you have a closed lid, it keeps smells to a minimum - and I've grown to want that in every trash can I buy, now. They really are better than anything you can get for the price at the local store - and you get TWO!

These are the perfect size and the battery lasts for a very long time. Love that the lid closes automatically and is motion activated to open. Works great.

Works as described, just a little too sensitive and opens at times when u aren’t trying to access it. It does keep the dog out of the garbage.

These worked out great. I put the 4 gallon in the bathroom and I put the smaller one in my office. They work and look as expected. Great price for 2.

They open smoothly, close quietly, and never complain about what I throw inside (unlike some people in my house). They’re the perfect size for bathroom/bedroom use, sleek enough to look modern, and quiet enough not to announce my bad decisions at night. Battery life is solid, and the fact that this is a 2-pack for the price makes it feel like I accidentally beat the system.
